Don't Play by the Rules: (Detective Conan) To discover the cause of her mother's suspicious death, Ran enlists the help of friends new and old and assumes an identity that hasn't been seen by the world for more than eight years. Her desires are pure... but in a world of deceit, crime syndicates, and assassins, are good intentions ever enough?

STATUS: Okay, I'm going to be honest here... the reason why I haven't updated this in so long is because I'm no longer interested in it. When I first began writing Don't Play by the Rules, I was thirteen with nothing but the first 50 dubbed episodes of Detective Conan to draw inspiration and facts from. Now I've seen nine of the movies and caught up with the manga, so obviously my view of certain characters and situations (ahem, Vermouth, cough, cough) has changed. That means I have a lot of editing to do before this monstrosity is anywhere close to the standards I currently have for fanfiction, and unfortunately, I just don't have the motivation to do that anytime soon. Now... what does that mean for you guys? It means that I am very, very pessimistic but I will get this done, just not as quickly as I originally thought I would. It's hard to be motivated about doing something when it feels like pulling teeth, you know? I guesstimate that there'll be no less than five, but no more than ten chapters left. Try to be patient, eh?

As for the prequel with Kaito and Aoko... well, it may or may not happen at this point. It depends on how I feel after Don't Play by the Rules is finished. I won't be working on it simultaneously because I've learned from past exploits that focusing on too many projects at one time only leads to poor quality and eventual burnout.

Fire and Ice: (Fushigi Yugi) A series of one-shots featuring all characters, genres and pairings. Why? Because I need the practice. And also, I seem to be a bit of a masochist.

STATUS: One-shot number five, which is called "Little Things" and is a romance/humor about Taka and Miaka, should be completed by the end of November. I'm dedicating part of NaNoWriMo to this thing... wish me luck.
