Cadance: A hyper-powerful fusion being. So far, her only appearence has been in Heart of a Warrior I, Chapters 21-22. She is described as: "A tall young woman was floating in the middle of the room. Her hair was about mid-back length, and was pink with purple-and-silver tips. She wore a dark-maroon colored jumpsuit, and a red “L” was prominent on her crest, which was similar to Bass’. Around her neck, she wore a short, brown, tattered scarf. Her gauntlets were similar to Bass’ gauntlets, but with silver lining instead of gold. Her eyes shone a deep purple, with pink marks under them. She was smiling in a way that has been described as “terrifying,” “frightening,” and “Bass-esque.”" She is a being created by the fusion of Bass (from Megaman Battle Network) and Aelita (Code Lyoko), and only appears when the two are fused together in situations where both of them are in extreme danger. Her first appearence (chronologically speaking) was ten years ago, in a fight when XANA first appeared. Her most recent appearence caused XANA to be seemingly obliterated, but recent events show that XANA may have survived...

Zero.EXE and Matt: Netnavi and netop team in Wraith of the Mavericks. Matt is based on me, and Zero is based on Zero (from the Megaman X and Zero games) and my own secret desires (how I would like to act and be viewed.) I'm trying to make them less mary-sue-ish.

Sigma.EXE: Main antagonist of the story Sigma.EXE: wraith of the mavericks. Scource of the Sigma virus, which enslaves netnavis to his will. Answers only to mysterious "??" dude from two spots above.

Replicons: new monsters(?) utilized by XANA and her mysterious father. First seen in Heart of a Warrior II: Trials of the Warriors, when they attacked Bass in his home. They have four, Krabe-like Legs, human-like, transformable arms, disc-shaped heads with spikes and tenticles, and cylindrical torsos. Have the ability to regenerate any hits not made on the bulls-eye like logo on their chest. Any hit there will almost instantly destroy them. Have the ability to transform their arms using a form of their healing powers.

Sigma.exe: Wraith of the Mavericks: Chapter 11 up- the Sorrow of a Netop. Story currently on hiatus.

Blades Of Time: I have finally deleted this story. It's not mine, it never was mine, and to read it in it's truest form, go to the official author, Hydraman.exe. He's on Blitz Chick's Favorites list, and I have her on my favorites list.

Behind the Scenes: Heart of a Warrior: I plan to have one of these after all my major fictions. Basically, they're just like the special features section of a DVD, with bloopers, deleted scenes, interviews with the cast and chief writers, and a Q&A with the characters. Project cancelled, features will be placed at the end of the story.

Types of Fics that I despise:

- Overly angsty/tragedy stuff. It just gets me down.

- Superpowered (character) stories: They're no fun! If the character gets everything they'd ever want with the greatest of ease, then what's the point of having the story? It's just turning the character into a Mary Sue.

- Time Travel/"Relive the past" fics: They turn, inevitably, into the "Superpowered" class of fics.

- Most Yaoi/Yuri. If done TASTEFULLY, it can be okay (I've read one or two that weren't bad.) But most are simply two guys, who have- historically, i might add- chased girls quite blatently, suddenly falling for the same sex. This is especially rediculous with characters like Miroku or Jiriya, who are incredibly huge perverts, who would sell their souls for opportunities to see naked women. Other characters who are NOT GAY: Naruto, Sasuke, (Naruto) Lan Hikari, Chaud Blaze, Megaman, Protoman, X, Zero, (Megaman). I'm done...

- Main-character-girl reforms evil dude and they fall in love: This means any and ALL SasuSaku fanfics, Naruto-lovers, as well as any Roll/DarkRock fics, Piper/DarkAce, and Zutara. If someone tried (repeatedly) to kill me, I am NOT falling for them.

- (Character) turns evil. I don't know why, I just don't like them...

- Really, really long stories. If it's over forty chapters, it gets straining to me. Any story over a hundred chapters is out. Sorry, I just get sucked into them and can't get back out.

- Bashing stories: They just don't end well. Even if the character is a bad guy, they get old. We've all heard the stories before, and we all have complaints about characters. But just because you have a problem or two with a character doesn't mean you have to make a character a b or a B. Seriously, if I had a nickel for every perfectly polite and reasonable character that was turned into a fire-breathing dragon (Not litterally, though that'd be cool), I'd be able to buy this stupid site and outlaw bashing stories. But where would my money come from, then? Hmmm...

- High School AU's: I do not come here to read about kids going to a nice, normal school with nice, normal friends. I come here to read tales of gripping romance, pitched battles, thoughtful discussions, unbelievable worlds, and indulge myself on the minds of other writers. Putting a character in High School, in a story where that sort of thing never happens, only shows creativity when selecting which character conforms to which stereotype. Sorry, but that's how I feel.

- Overly one-sided fics: A little equality, even on the battlefield, is nice. Goes back to the "Superpowered" one.

-Direct Re-tellings: I mean stories that are pretty much verbatim from the original plot, even though massive changes should have occured with the additions of the author.

-People have been talking a lot about "Team Edward," and "Team Jacob." If you're a proud member of "Team Autobot" or "Team Decepticon," instead of the two Twilight teams, put this in your profile.

The following was taken from the profile of "Less Wrong," author of "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality," which is an amazingly clever and unique story. Go read it, it should be on my favorites list.

The First Law of Fanfiction states that every change which strengthens the protagonists requires a corresponding worsening of their challenges. Or in plainer language: You can't make Frodo a Jedi without giving Sauron the Death Star. Read any book on writing ever and it will tell you that stories are about conflict; a hero too strong for their conflict is no longer in tense, heart-pounding difficulty. For example, Dark!Dumbledore and Dark!Harry both permit a Harry strengthened over canon - the first by turning one of Harry's canon!allies against him, and the second by turning Harry against his canon!allies. The most spectacular application of this principle that I've seen is Harry Potter and the Wastelands of Time, in which Harry has gained all the knowledge of ancient Atlantis and has been through literally hundreds of Peggy Sue cycles in which he learns every possible twist of fate... and Voldemort, who unfortunately got to Atlantis first, has still won every time. The Mary Sue is not defined by her power, but by her lack of an even more powerful opponent. I mention this (1) so that you know I know it and (2) because the First Law of Fanfiction ought to be in a giant banner on every fanfiction site. The most fatal temptation of fanfiction writing is to think of how much easier some character's life would be if they were a ninja. We are naturally inclined to think up ways to solve our characters' problems for them, but must learn instead to make their lives more difficult.

The Rationalist Fanfiction Principle states that rationality is not magic; being rational does not require magical potential or royal bloodlines or even amazing gadgets, and the principles of rationality work for understandable reasons. A rationalist!hero should excel by thinking - moreover, thinking in understandable patterns that readers can, in principle, adopt for themselves. As opposed to the hero just being a born "genius" who comes up with amazing gadgets through an opaque discovery process, or who pulls off incredibly complicated gambits that would fail miserably if the reader tried something similar in real life. (Albeit that if, for some reason, you want to depict an eleven-year-old knowing all that rationality stuff, he must be extremely bright for his age level, which in turn has further implications. And no matter how bright he is, he'll still have problems - but problems for the hero are always a good thing, right?)
