Author has written 15 stories for Van Helsing, Resident Evil, and Portal. My DeviantArt I'm twenty one and live in England. Other than writing, playing video games is something I enjoy completely immersing myself in. One day I'm hoping to write as more than just a hobby, which is why I encourage people to catch any mistakes I've made in my work. I do enjoy getting reviews – knowing that something I've written makes someone else happy feels awesome – but I realise they're not the most important thing I can get out of my stories. The number of reviews one has is rarely a good indicator of writing quality on this site. Critique and subsequent improvement are what I write for. You won't find me holding my stories hostage for reviews. In my opinion, that's one of the worst things people do on here. It shows that you're just looking for asspats and not writing for the love of writing. That's why I make it a point never to review those who say they'll only update if they get X number of reviews. Don't think so little of those who read your stories. I'm extremely wary of OCs and have a pretty low tolerance for them. You have to be good, very good at writing to get them right and make them something more than a whiny, swooning secretary of Wesker or an Aperture test subject who just happens to meet Wheatley and fall in love with him. We call these characters 'Mary Sues'. If you encounter one, standard procedure is to kill it with fire. | |||||||
