Author has written 27 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean, RENT, Lost, National Treasure, X-Men: The Movie, Indiana Jones, Star Trek: 2009, and StarTrek: Enterprise. Hello. My name is Katie and I am 22 years old. I started writing fanfictions about four years ago. Now that I think about it, I don't really remember how I got into it. I started off writing, I believe, The Matrix, fanfics under a different name. So if you think about it, I've been around for a lot longer than four years. It continued with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then Pirates of the Caribbean. I believe I even dabbled in Power Rangers for a while, and Lost. I know I did a few RENT fics and I tried getting into National Treasure, though failed miserably. Currently, after watching Star Trek: 2009 a couple times, I decided to start writing in that category. I love it. I didn't think I would be able to do it justice because I was so worried about getting the characters right, knowing they were based on the same characters from the show. It turns out that I needed to stop worrying and just go with it. For now at least, this is where my heart lies as far as a category to write fanfictions about. I just have to say that my favorite paring to write about within the Star Trek universe is definitly Spock and Uhura. Even if it may not be canon in the original series, it is in the movie. I think that paring is, with out a doubt, cute as a hell. They are so right for one another. She is his convas in which he paints his emotions. He is her rock in which he keeps her grounded and controlled. They would not be whole without the other. And they were obviously together for a long time, otherwise their relationship would not be the way it was depicted in the movie. He probably would not be as open as he was. I mean, for god sake, they made out in the transporter room... and don't tell me they didn't. I was there. I saw the movie. In IMAX even. Even if it was for a short while. He loves her. He was about to tell Kirk to tell her that before he stopped Spock from saying anything. I honestly think that Spock is afraid to admit he loves Uhura to her face because he doesn't want to lose her. This may just be how I feel about it but that is my perspective on the situation. I look forward to seeing their relationship blossom more in the next two movies.
