Stickin' it to Itachi has not been forgotten. Nor has it been abandoned in a secluded cemetary. It is not on hiatus and it will not be dropped. Right now I'm simply reworking all of my chapters. I've redone chapter 1 and posted it! It reads like a oneshot, but that's what I was going for...something kind of like a scene in a play. Also, someone asked me if I could make my chapters longer. Here are the choices:

1. Combine chapters. For example: Ch1 + Ch2; Ch3 + Ch4. I write my chapters in one sitting and I don't think I'd have the stamina to write double my typical chapter length. That would take a lot of discipline on my part. Erk. If I did double my chapter length, it would definitely take longer to post.

2. Get the chapters I have beta-read, and patch them up to the point that their size doubles.

10/21/06 - I'm not dead yet! No, really, here's how things roll: AP Eng. Lang, AP Span. IV, AP U.S. History, Hon Physics, and Hon Analysis. In short, I don't have a life. I'm trying, but things are looking down. Here's the deal, I had two more chapters ready to go for Neurotic Penchant, but then I decided that I didn't like their direction, so Neurotic Penchant gets to savor the delights of Festerland, where all studiously ignored fics go for an indeterminate amount of time. I'm sorry. I really am. I have ideas, but they are all partially incoherent and invariably independent from one another. Stickin' it to Itachi. First, I hate the name. Yeah, I like where the fic's headed, but the name needs to be thrown in a vat of burning tar. I know exactly where it's going, however. It's just a matter of revising what I have, and writing and revising what I don't have.

3/03/07 - Still, not dead. Just...mentally in the red. I'm tired, I'm cranky, and I have no idea what I'm doing. My classes are so hard. Imagine that you're a high jumper. Every week the bar gets higher and higher. At first, you are confident: the bar's low; it's easy. The bar gets higher; it's a strain to get over the bar, but somehow you manage to. Suddenly, the bar is so high that you know that no matter how high you jump, or how hard you try, nothing will get you over, and yet, you do. Every week there's doubt, uncertainty. You can't make it. There's no way. But you do. And you know it's only a matter of time. A matter of time before you don't make it and you fall. The worst part: there's no one there to catch you. When you finally fall, it's hard, it's fast, and it's going to hurt. I'm deathly afraid of falling.
