We're gonna get you though this." his voice was thick with tears as he got down on his knees and reached towards her for her hand. She looked up at him with teary, blood shot eyes "I promise. I'm not gonna leave you alone. Not like this." "I... Can't." If you ever felt... Rejected Wilt looked up at Zigzag, sat besde him, ignoring her slices of pizza as she fidgetted in her seat, apprently trying to catch a glimps of someone. His brow furrowed when he realised that she was trying to catch Larry's eye. "Hey, Ziz." he began, tapping her shoulder, lightly, only to have her swat his hand away, still fidgeting. "Zigzag." "Sorry, Zigzag. I thought maybe I could take you out tomorrow. You know, if that's OK, to try and jog you memo-" "Yeah, yeah, sure, whatever..." she replied hasitily, and then finally turned to look at him. Her eyes didn't look the same as they used too. She'd changed so much since she came home from the hospital. Wilt didn't like it. He didn't like it all "Oi, Bill." "Wilt." "Yer kinda pally wif Larry, right?" "Not re-" "Wha's 'e into? Ya know, like, other than basket ball?" Wilt's mouth fell open. If you ever felt... Confused "So... What was the reason he lost 'is rag?" "Because... I took you out when he told me twice not to..." The orange giant replied "There's summat really weird about Wilt... I mean... I like you, you like me, what's 'is problem? Anyone would fink he was in love with me..." Larry said nothing, just uncomfortably shifted the icepack on his eye "You DO like me, right?" "Huh? Yeah, o' course I do, I mean... You're pretty and a-and fun to be around and... And..." Larry trailed off as he stared at her beaming face as looked back with hooded lids "Why are you staring at me like that?" he set down the ice-pack on the table, watching as she suddenly started to lean closer, causing him to lean back "Zigzag, what are y- mmfph." Larry's sentence was cut short as the bad tempered thought suddenly crushed her lips against his. His eye's shot open wide at the sudden sensation of her lips on his, his whole face burning burgundy. After a moment, he relaxed, snaking his bulky arms around her small waist and closing his eyes. He let out a short breath as she pulled away him. "Wow..." he breathed, his face still glowing. A small grin spread across his face, and he sat and smiled to him self for a moment. He then looked at Zigzag, quirking an eyebrow as he saw her staring wide-eyed at the ceiling. "UGH! You taste like bloody RUBBER!" The sentence echoed in her head over and over for a good few seconds, before thousands of images flashed before her mind's eye, darting into view, and then out of view like lightening. Of Larry. And the home. And the Brady's. And the Cult. And Kirk, and the trial and... Wilt... She... Remembered. "Wilt..." she gasped "... WILT!" she moaned clutching onto her head and clamping her eyes shut, before falling forwards out of her chair. Unconcious. If you ever felt... Anxious "Black Country." The Blood Hound sniffed and then jerked backwards in a mixture of disgust and indignation so suddenly that his bowler hat nearly fell from his head to the floor. He readjusted it, reaching up with one of his paws and then sitting up on hind legs "I can tell YOUR sort from a mile away. Dispicable, lazy, disgusting lot. You wouldn't know employment if it hit you in the face. And none of you know the definition of sober, for that matter. Kirk! I don't want her here!" Despite of the fact that she was practically fuming, and didn't particularly WANT to stay with such an arrogant arse, Zigzag's heart sank. What was she supposed to do now? "Woah, Darcy, baby! Don't be like that!" Kirk began, rushing up to Mr Darcy as he was about to turn and trot away "She ain't all bad. Can't we let her stay with the cult, for just a FEW days, and then I'll take her home?" The Blood Hound looked back at the gangly thought who was stood, nervously wringing her hands. He sniffed again. "Very well... Three days, but then I want her gone." If you ever felt... Wrong "You OK, there, Sonny?" Joe asked, walking up and sitting down in the chair beside Wilt. The ruby thought lifted his head from his hand, and then shook his head, swiping at his eye and turning his head away. "No." he sniffed, trying his hardest to not sound as though he was crying. It didn't really work. The old man set a hand on his shoulder, and he shrugged it off, not caring how rude it was as he got to his feet and peered through the shutters that hung on the other side of the window of the single ward, watching as Dr McKenzie and the nurse he had called earlier discussed something, stood beside the bed that the bad tempered thought lay in, unconcious. At least... He HOPED she was unconcious. "I can't tell ya how awful I feel for running over your girlfriend." Wilt let out a choked sob, swiping unsuccessfully at his eye again. His shoulders quivered as he leaned against the window, resting his forehead hopelessly on his fore arm, and he drew in a sharp breath, scrunching his eye shut "Y-you sh-shouldn't feel bad... This... Th-this is.. All my fault." If you ever felt... Unclean The ruby thought's hand trailed gently over her chest as he began to fumble at the buttons of her shirt, slowly undoing them one by one. He froze as Zigzag suddenly stopped kissing him and reached for his hand. He looked at her, biting his lower lip and staring wide eyed at her as though he was about to burst into tears and then pushed himself gently away, standing up straight and looking shamefully down at his feet. "I'm sorry..." If you ever felt... Angry As Zigzag sat, staring at the homeless thought who was dressed in that usual tatty old turtle neck, looking smug and self assured as he stood before the jury and went on about he did not commit any such crime, her blood began to boil in her veins, when what was going on, where she was, and what had happened finally hit her. She'd trusted him. Come to love him as a friend. He was her friend and he used her. He was her friend!... And he hurt her. Hurt her so badly that she was now sat, Wilt's hand gripping tightly on hers, watching him blabber away to the jury, repeating himself, saying that she was a liar. He was the liar. He was, not her. Suddenly her breathing grew heavy, heaving angrily in and out, until she'd finally had enough of the horrible lies he was spouting to his listeners. She stood up. "BULL SHIT!" If you ever felt... Ashamed "SHUT UP!" Wilt and Joanne stared wide eyed and open mouthed in response to Zigzag's exclamation. The grey thought took a deep breath, clamping her eyes shut and then finally went on to reply to the questions they had been asking her. "Me an' Sara never had much time ta play. Wanna know WHY? 'Cos I was never home. Sara's Dad, 'e was a right bastard. Blew most o' the money we got on fags and booze. Couldn't get a job, spent 'is days looking for a job, or collecting money from the doll office. And while he was looking for a job, I was the one 'oo 'ad to get money, some 'ow." She paused, staring from Joanne's eyes to Wilt's. She turned her head her away, eyes clamped shut. "Nearly everyday, Dad 'ould gimme a few dosh, just enough ta get me a return ticket up ta Brum. And you know what I'd do there?" she turned back to face them, and leaned in, her eyes narrowed. Her voice was low "Beg. And steal." The ruby though sat beside her stared wide eyed, and she felt her heart shatter at the horrified expression on his face. She felt like crying. "You... Stole?" "I FUCKING STOLE! I WAS A PICK POCKET! Fuck, I AM a pick pocket!" If you ever felt... Curious "So what's your name, sweet cheeks?" the wide shouldered thought asked, following her as she continued to walk slowly down the street, still clutching her stomach from where the man had kicked her in the train station. "I would prefer it if ya dae call me sweet cheeks, and also, why am you so interested?" "I'm not interested, I'm curious." "Tha's the same thing, you twat." she snapped, and then quickened her pace. The stranger followed. "So, where you from?" "Where YOU from?!" she barked, whirling round and giving hims a shove, and then continuing to stomp along. That didn't get him off her tail, though. "Me? Why I'm from Brooklyn, New York, The Big Apple, the GREATEST city on EARTH!" he replied, proudly puffing out his chest after catching up with her and marching along side her, holding his right arm in the air, and placing his other hand on his chest, pretending to be the Statue of Liberty. "Yeah, and also a cheap knock off of York, Britain." Zigzag replied shortly. The thought's brow furrowed and a wide grin spread across his face. "Sassy." If you ever felt... Used "You couldn't care less about me, could you Zigzag?!" Wilt yelled. "Nomad! You KNOW it's not like that!" "Yes I do. If you really cared then you'd understand just how much you mean to me. How desperate I am for you to stay! If you cared abut me, you'd be holding my hand just tightly as I am yours!" I imagine you could do with some revenge "Hello, sweet cheeks." he hissed, his grin growing wider as he tightened is already bone crushing grip on her wrist, making her bite her lip, clamping her eyes shut "Thought it was clever rattin' me out did ya, Honey? Well rest assured, I WILL get out of this, and when I do, I'll get ya. Oh, ho, ho, don't you worry about THAT." The twisted smile on Kirk's face suddenly changed into a scowl as Wilt pulled on Zigzag's arm, snatching her away from him and bending down himself, glaring swords rather than daggers at the blue thought's face. "You DARE hurt MY Zigzag you twisted little as-" "Now, now, Wilt, you shouldn't use bad language in front of a lady like Zigzag." "If you dare hurt her again, I'll hurt you one hundred times harder. You'll wish you were never imagined." Wilt growled and then hurried Zigzag away from Kirk, who simply grinned. "Is that a THREAT?!" A little Romance "My fault?! How is it MY fault?!" Wilt demanded, grabbing her by the shoulder and whirling her back round to face him. "'Cos you told me somethin' in one o' yer letters!" she yelled, giving him a hard shove and then beginning to swipe at her eyes "You told me that you loved me!" all the colour drained from Wilt's face as these words reached his ears "So I came back down 'ere, to see if you were telling the truth! So it's your fault I'm 'ere! It's YOUR fault that I was mugged, it's YOUR fault that someone almost killed me, it's YOUR fault I had to appear in court and it's your fault that I could be fuggin' PREGNANT!" "IT'S NOT MY FAULT!" Wilt roared as she began to storm away, but he grabbed her by the back of her shirt, pulling her back towards him. "Yes it IS! So, while I'm 'ere, darlin' why doe you just tell me!" she shrieked, and he reached forward grabbing her by the front of her shirt and hoisting her up slightly "Do you LOVE ME?!" A single word escaped his throat in a quiet whisper before he crushed his lips against hers. Or perhaps... Just a friend "I'll... See ya 'round then... Nomad... Wilt." The smaller thought said quietly, and then turned beginning to head towards the door where the little girl and her family were waiting. She was stopped by him suddenly grabbing her hand. "Zigzag..." Wilt whispered "You have no idea how glad I am that I met you... Please don't go." Zigzag bit her lip, and then dived towards the taller thought, pulling him into a rib crushing hug, crying into his shoulder. And Wilt found himself crying too. He tried his hardest not to. He couldn't let her see him cry. But he honestly couldn't help it. He pulled her even tighter against him, burying his nose in her neck, letting a quiet sob. "Y-you... Y-you can't just leave me." But not just any friend... Zigzag whirled round in her chair at the sound of the door slamming loudly against the wall after someone had apparently kicked it open, to see Wilt stood by the door to the office, his face pink with rage, breathing heavily, his chest heaving in and out as he clenched his fist so tightly that she was sure that any tighter and the skin on his knuckles would tear. "Master Wilt! WHAT is the meaning of this?!" "They can't have her." he growled. "What you say?!" the middle aged man demanded, jumping to his feet. "I. Said. You. Can't. HAVE HER!" Interested? "Good." Wilt said with a wide grin. 'Cos you're in for one helluva ride... "Bugger this, man. I honestly can NOT be ARSED! Crooked Smile Stuff About Me Fifteen. British. Grumpy. Short. Heartbroken.
