Update! 9/16/07

OKAY! So, here's what's up: IYE WILL be finished by the end of this academic year. I only have eight more chapters and the epilogue left, the first of which is actually written and just needs to be typed up. TMBA is going to be scrapped and, if I find a proper way to revise the plotline, rewritten. TSYA will continue, though I honestly have no idea where it's going to go. FFY stays on hiatus, though in all likelihood I'll start working on it seriously by the end of the year, especially after I finish IYE. I WILL BE WRITING! And any and all of you have the go-ahead to harass me until I do. Livejournal and wordpress are very good ways to accomplish this. In fact, I would be ecstatic to have people reading my wordpress sight.

So, I'm back, and I'm fully intend to write. Sorry for all the wait, guys. I know how frustrating unfinished stories can be.

General: I’m a college student in my senior year at a school I absolutely ADORE, and I’ve been writing stories (both original and fanfiction) since I was about 7. My first actual fanfiction ever was in fourth grade, when I wrote a Batman Returns fic in a notebook about Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle (yes, I was a sap back then, too). The sad thing? I still have that fic stored away under my bed back at home.

I’m currently working at a BA in Zoology, and I have dreams to one day be able to work on-the-field with the Big Cats, namely tigers and the various jungle cats. School comes first before everything, writing included, and I make no exceptions to this rule (except extreme family cases).

Writing is my passion, one I’ve had for a VERY long time. At one point, I almost imagined it as a career, but as Harry Chapin once said, “But music was his life, it was not his livelihood… And it made him feel so happy; it made him feel so good. And he sang from his heart, and he sang from his soul. He did not know how well he sang, it just made him whole.” I feel the same way about writing. I’m at no greater contentment or happiness than when I’m writing a story or thinking up ideas in my head, and when I write, I write with all my heart, but I can’t measure my worth as a writer. I just love what I do.

Otherwise, I’m a big, giant geek. I’m a hopeless romantic, I splurge on anime when I get the chance, I will quite literally spend an entire day, morning ‘til night, reading a novel, I sing to myself constantly, and my bedroom looks like a shrine to animals and anime. What can I say? It’s me!

Concerning E-mail/IM/LJ: I have no problem with anyone contacting me at any time, I’m online constantly (especially once I’m back at school), and even if I have my away message up I usually am not far from my computer. Feel free to always leave a message, or an e-mail, or to IM me when I’m around. I really don’t mind, and if I do, I’ll point it out at the beginning of the conversation. The only cases of this will be if I’ve had a REALLY bad day, and just don’t want to talk to anyone (this is rare, folks), or if I’m working on something and I can’t spare the time at the moment.

As for LJ, if I didn’t want people reading it, I wouldn’t post it for them to see. Feel free to read all you want, and comment if you deem fit. Just be mindful of what you write, because that is my life you’re commenting on.

Life and Writing

I pull inspiration for my writing from every aspect of my life, and I always have a story or a scene on my mind to write. It’s just the actual writing part that becomes troublesome. It’s easy to see a picture in my head and know exactly how I want it to be, it’s a lot harder to actually write it out that way. Secondly, I do not plan my stories the way other writers do. I make no lists or summaries regarding chapters. At most, I have an idea of where I want to go with a story, but I don’t know how I’m going to get there until I write it. Outlines do not exist in my world, because they usually just go to pot anyways. I ignore them, I forget about them, I don’t use them. They’re useless to me. I write as it comes, and as I can take the time.

In this way, inspiration does not always come when I need it to. Writer’s block is my most loving enemy, and it likes to accost me whenever possible. At these times, I try my best to struggle through, and I make it eventually. My best ideas come when I’m just shoving words from my brain, through my nerves, and out my fingertips to the keyboard. To be blunt: I blurt out whatever comes to mind, and it usually works. If it doesn’t, I try again, all the way until I have a sentence, then a paragraph, then a chapter, and eventually a storyline.

For these reasons, stories do not always come in the timeliest fashions. But be patient, it’s there. If I changed the way I wrote, it wouldn’t be my writing.

Wind-Blown- The time of Naraku draws to an end, and in one final battle more good is reaped than originally thought, as Tenseiga does more than help to banish the demon back into hell.

Unfortunately, there's a murderer lurking about, killing Japan's top bosses, and one night Kaoru finds herself face-to-face with a sword-wielding assassin she's not so unfamiliar with.

Four years later, the war has ended and Kaoru has left the diner for the city, bringing with her a young, flame-haired son, and it is only to her complete surprise and heart-wrenching shock that she comes face-to-face again with the very soldier she thought dead and gone.

When working on the Mars Terraforming Project, mingled with the nearly-finished new colony X-24443, an accident and crash-landing cause her to come face-to-face with the boy who ran away, and to deal with feelings she thought she had pushed aside and left behind long ago. Unfortunately, she has to keep him from running again if she is to accomplish anything.
