Author has written 21 stories for Power Rangers, Cold Case, Ghost Busters (Real/Extreme), Law and Order, and StarTrek: Voyager.

Hey everyone. I'm a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Ghostbusters fan fiction writer, with a little bit of Cold Case, Law & Order, and Star Trek: Voyager(Chakotay ROCKS!)in between. Okay, with the niceties aside...

Now for some serious matters. Let me make it very clear that(specifically) with my Ghostbusters fanfics, I prefer writing AU fics with my own take on things. I find more fun in presenting alternate takes and interpretations on events. One can be a fan of the show, but doesn't have to like everything that was presented within it. Therefore, fan fiction should be a fun opportunity to present your angle, to present what you would've prefered to see. The freedom to express your view.

One view in particular in regards to Ghostbusters, is the romantic link of Egon and Janine. I did not like Egon and Janine being together like that(in the cartoon series), because I don't think they match on that level. Janine in the cartoon(especially season 1), the way she obsessed after Egon, it really creeped me out. It looked like she only wanted one thing from Egon. Now, maybe the writers liked E/J linked romantically, maybe other fans do, and that's fine. Whatever. But I don't and I never will. The first GB movie, I can accept. But if you want E/J from my fics based off the cartoons, then you'll have to read other people's stuff, you won't be seeing any of that from me.

Another thing I also want to make clear, is that the whole Mary Sue issue, especially when debated in the GB fandom(or in any other fandom), has some serious flaws. One being the differing opinions on what constitues a Mary Sue or doesn't. The second issue, is about how much or how little a backstory on the character in question should be featured. I've always believed that providing information on the character within the main story is an easier way to allow people to form an opinion about said character. And third, I don't believe the Mary Sue issue applies to AU fictions. But, that's a matter of opinion, and I understand if you don't agree. However, it's one thing to disagree, it's another thing entirely to crap on other people's work just because they don't write based on "canon material"(another debatable topic, hence the quotations), don't believe a particular couple is compatible, and just in general, have a different opinion than most. E/J shippers take notice: It's one thing to be a fan of Egon/Janine, but another thing entirely to dump on those who aren't. Please, I realize your enthusiasm for the pairing but keep in mind, the GB fandom is diverse, so I ask that you refrain from attempting to make up supposed "rules" on writing GB fiction, don't act like you own the fandom, and for the love of all things holy, don't push your views on those who don't agree, it will only alienate them. An opinion is not an absolute law.

An additional note, I DO NOT like review spammers. What I mean by review spammers, is that they are people here who sign up only to review(mostly leave flame reviews), yet they have NO STORIES to their name. My message to all of you is clear and simple: If you don't want to be nothing more than a review spammer, SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, and WRITE A DAMN STORY if you think you can do any better than the people(who've ACTUALLY written some stories) that you bash and flame. I think review previleges should ONLY be given to ACTUAL authors. In other words, get your rear in gear and write something! Please, review-spamming is pathetic, don't do it. Nobody wants crap clogging up their review box. Also, some consider it to be a form of harassment.

Here is a small list of review spammers to watch out for:

Gemini-64 aka Gemini Rising64 aka pegasusrising: Yeah, okay. Keep it up the flaming and Multiple Personality Disorder. I will laugh for hours the day you and your IP address are banned. You are so fake, along with that e-mail address. Are you so gutless and afraid that your victims will retaliate hmm?

crystalsugar: I can't believe you had the AUDACITY to agree with Ms. Poster-Child-for- Multiple-Personality-Disorder. I have two words for you: Baa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa! SHEEP!

Gilded Lily: Now, this one is a bit of an exception. Though she does have stories to your name, NONE OF THEM HOWEVER, are Ghostbusters stories. So still, she doesn't know what you're talking about. Hey Lily, I see you still haven't responded to my e-mail. What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?

And finally, Seriously Wrong: Ha! Need I say more? His/her profile reads, "Dare to be Different: Stop writing crap today!" Ha, yeah, when YOU ACTUALLY write a damn fanfic to your name!

To not end up on this list, I suggest to those that haven't written anything yet, that you actually write something, and please, for the love of mike, really think about what you say when you decide to review someone else's work. Until then, you have no room to talk.

DON'T START WITH ME. YOU WILL NOT WIN.

Finally, there are two types of criticism. There's constructive criticism, which is giving helpful suggestions in a friendly, non-condesending manner, that the writer can use in improving their work for next time. Because there's always that little room for improvement, right? The second type is called Destructive criticism, in which a person is like, "Oh this story is a piece of BS! This and that part sucked, so did the other thing! You can't write worth crap blah blah blah blah blah!" See what I mean? And this is what I would call flaming. Hence the reason I write, "read at your own risk" and "No destructive comments" in my summaries. That, and it is a really good way to end up being black-listed(as a review-spammer)by me.

It's not rocket science people!
