Updated: Ok, ok, I'm way too excited now to contain myself. Spain just won the EuroCup 2008 !! Seriously !! .. No, seriously !! For anyone who doesn't follow football (soccer, for my American friends) as meticulously as I do, let me point out the reason for loving the Spanish victory over Germany last night (one, nil)... two words: Iker Casillas. If you haven't seen the Spanish goalie, go look him up on Google Images. Do it now. Go on. Well, he's rugged good looks aren't the only reason for loving him; he's a superb goalie, and was captain in the finals. Either way, SPAIN WON AND I'M BLOODY EXCITED ! Go Espania ! twirls a little flag around
Ok, mes petites nincompoops, here are some brilliant roleplaying sites that I should probably recommend. And I am:
Marauders Quill: Set in the Marauder's Sixth Year. Roleplay as a Hogwart's Student of any year and watch as the entire student population embarks on adventures in romance, magic and pranks. James/Lily, Sirius/OC, Remus/OC. With plenty of OC/OC action. Create a canon character, or an OC, with lists of free characters and the rules of the board readily available. The Staff of MQ request that no homophobia, vulgarity or racial comments be made on the site. To join, or simply check the site out, click www.maraudersquill.proboards42.com
Cullen Twilight: Set after Eclipse. No basic plotline as it's brand spankin' new and not many people have joined. Become a vampire, werewolf or a human. None of the pack have been taken, for all those Team Jacob fans. Same Staff as Marauder's Quill, with the same requests. To join, or check the site out, click www.cullentwilight.proboards78.com
Pheonix Memory: Harry Potter Universe, a Future Roleplaying Site. The Golden Trio's children are now in school and definitely wreaking mayhem in their wake. Become anything from a Student to a Teacher, a Weasley to a Malfoy,a Gryffindor to a Slytherin - though on this site they seem to be getting along quite well. Not the same Staff as above, but by friends so the basic rules still apply. To join, or check the site out, click www.pheonixmemory.proboards58.com
I have this weird habit of constantly changing my profile. Why? I'm not really sure. It's not like anything new has happened to me since I've last updated this. Except I've moved countries, but I doubt anyone reading this is really all that interested in my moving habits. I think it's because when I get bored, and I have nothing better to do, I think, "Oh, what useless and menial task can I go do now?" It's either this or go clean my room, and I'm pretty sure we both know which useless, menial task I chose to do.
I'm basically your average teenage girl. I stay up really late, watch particularly lame movies, and fall fast and hard for guys who shouldn't be worth my time. My room can never stay clean for more than about a day, and my hair never goes the way I want it to. My family and I live like nomads - that is, we move frequently to places most people wouldn't dare step foot into, and I can speak three different languages with a fourth on the way. I dance like I'm on crack, sing like someone who shouldn't, and read like books are oxygen.
With four brothers, one of whom is about a year old, schoolwork and a social life, my spare time is pretty limited. Sadly, I write in my spare time, which means I don't have time to write. Unfortunately for my fictionpress account, it's got the short end of the stick: I prefer fanfiction.
Have you ever started telling someone about your latest nightmare, and then halfway through your story you realize just how idiotic you are? Yeh? Well hunny, story of my life. My obsessions can sometimes take over - as in, my obsession with Twilight and Harry Potter. Sadly, neither of those worlds exist, nor the fictional characters in them. The only thing that ranks higher than my books is my music; I never leave the house without my iPod or some form of MP3 player. Sad, sad, I know.
When it comes to writing, I like it to be taken seriously. My biggest pet peeves on this site is misspelling, grammar errors and the all-encompassing Mary Suethors. When authors deviate from canon - like when they make Hermione Granger from Harry Potter be a dumbass - I go crazy. Well, not literally - in reality I just leave the story as soon as possible. But in my mind! In my mind, I go crazy! A few exceptions to canon-deviation is acceptable to me, though. I love slash and femmeslash fics: in my world, Remus and Sirius can be as gay together as they want to be! ... As long as their personalities don't differ too dramatically from canon. If Sirius becomes this flamboyant little priss, heads will roll!
I think I'll leave my profile like this for now. I'll probably add on to it or change it within the week, but for now, as short as it is, it's looking pretty good for me. To everyone who's read it all so far, smile - it looks good on you.
