The Basics

I usually suck at this profile things, mostly because I don't know what to talk about when it comes to myself. But I'll give it a shot, for those who are actually interested lol.

Alright, well, my name is really not the same as my username. It's actually far from it, if no one's noticed. I keep my privacy that way I guess - that and I couldn't think of anything else to sign up with :P I'm not that old, for those who want to know, and I'm not that young either. I'm still in high school and I often write when I need to escape from it. Hm.. I don't update as much as I want to mainly because I can't. I try, but when I get writer's block, it tends to stay for a long while.

I highly enjoy reading fanfics, though incorrect grammar and cliché situations really turn me off. I mostly read one-shots because they're easier to read. When I read longer stories and actually like them, it's hard for me to stop and that's not exactly good when I have a pile of homework waiting for me. At often times I slip and read ongoing stories, then I smack myself once I read the last updated chapter. Oh well, it's all good, it's worth it either way :P

The Writing

If memory serves me right, I started writing back in 2003, a feeble attempt with writing my own story because we had to do it for school. I simply enjoyed it, not caring if I was doing it right or not. It was fun after all ;P After that I stuck to poems for a year and entirely dropped writing the year after. Then I fell in love with Gundam Seed and the need to write was just inevitable. I do hope I'm improving, the more chapters/one-shots I post :)

The Genre

So far (and I doubt it would change anytime soon), I've only been writing romance-based fics. Why? Because admittedly, I'm a sap :P If you're not one for fluff and those things, I'm sorry, my fics may not be to your liking. I'm always concerned that they'd be too much sometimes, crossing the border towards 'cheesy' and 'lame', but I hope against it. I do try - since I myself can't stand those things, so I hope I'm not doing such a bad job at avoiding them. Just the same, I'm glad to see some people love what I do, and for those that don't, no hard feelings :) I can understand. But the fact remains, I write romance because I can't help it, it makes me happy. And that, I think, is what matters.

Reviewing

I strongly believe that as a reader, if you liked the story, please review. It really is discouraging sometimes to see how many page hits a story gets compared to the amount of review it receives. Even if you weren't satisfied with what you read, help the author by telling him/her what you think could make the story better. Review, it's not that hard to do at all. If you read it, review it. A fair trade, don't you think? The author of the story you read spent time writing the fanfic and posted it to share, it's only proper to review.

I'm saying this because I've read a lot of well-written stories out there with barely any reviews. It's disappointing to see - come on people, we can do better than that! And I think I speak for a lot of authors when I say reviews do make our day :) Let's help each other, shall we?

Anyway, I'm a weird reviewer; sometimes my reviews are short, sometimes they're very very long, and at other times (when I'm reading a fic while I'm not supposed to) I don't even review at all. But if I've ever written a review to one of your stories, I do mean what I say. I don't shower praises just because I don't like stepping on other people's toes -- I think it's because of the sense of anonymity online; I'm usually not very straightforward in real life. Anyway, I say what I need to say and I can only hope it's taken the right way. I do talk about both the good and the bad, so I hope it balances well!

The Ships

Gundam Seed
Athrun x Cagalli - I fully support these two. All the way. Though I think I've read too many fics of them already . . . still love them though :) but yeah, I'll just stick to writing about them for now. And keep wishing I meet someone like Athrun one day :P
Kira x Lacus - I think they're cute, but they lack a bit of fire in their relationship. Nonetheless I still like them :)
Kira x Cagalli - Is just plain wrong. AU or not, they will always be siblings in my mind.

Harry Potter
Lily x James - Are a lovely pair. Fun to read and write about :) though right now I just prefer reading about them - not sure why.
Draco x Hermione - I hated the idea of this pairing in the beginning . . . but when I actually read a very well-written fic about them, I had a complete one-eighty. Let's just say I've been always drawn to forbidden loves, that and the characters themselves are really fun to write about. You could say the fire doesn't die out with D/Hr fics :) their personalities are too . . . defiant, you could say, to mellow down. And I love just that :)
Ron x Hermione - Adorable :) I was very happy on how their relationship turned out in the series. I like reading about them but I sometimes find their situations too repetitive for my taste. Still, a nice couple either way.
Harry x Ginny - Though they're canon, I . . . still need to get used to this ship.
Draco x Ginny - Is just unimaginable, sorry.

Twilight
Edward x Bella - Have 'perfect' written all over their relationship :) absolutely love these two.
Jacob x Bella - No can do. Ever. Jacob is tolerable, but this ship, to me, isn't.

The Host
Wanda x Ian - I love these two. Perfect, I say :)
Jared x Melanie - Need more spotlight!
Sunny x Kyle - I'm still trying to get used to this. I'm not used to Kyle having such a gentle side but I think it could work!

Blood and Chocolate
Gabriel x Vivian - Is love. I adore their relationship - Vivian being stubborn while Gabriel enjoys himself teasing her about it :) it's fun to read.
Aiden x Vivian - No. Aiden is a coward. End of discussion. (Yes, I've taken into disliking him and no, I'm not watching the movie. I tried and gave up, it was just completely different from the book. I was very disappointed. The book is better, I plan on sticking with it.)

A songfic! I thought the song was perfect for Edward and his self-control :) It'll be my first time writing something solely based on one character - wish me luck?

Goodnight, My Angel - Twilight - ( Edward ) - One-shot
Based on the song Lullaby (Goodnight My Angel) by Billy Joel. This song is incredibly sweet. I'm not sure why, but when I heard it, as sweet as it was, it made me so sad. A songfic focusing on Edward's thoughts when he watches Bella sleep. I can't wait to write this (if I ever get to it), I want it to be emotional, something I long to try when I listen to the song. Give it a listen, it's beautiful.

Please Remember - New Moon - ( Bella ) - One-shot
Another song by LeAnn Rimes, I think it fits very well with Bella's situation as she deals with losing Edward when he left. My first attempt at drama..? I've been in the mood to try the genre lately XD it should be interesting.

When Jared finally gets Melanie back. It hasn't even reached the rough draft, but I definitely want to write it in the future :)

Wanda had always known how much Ian cared for her . . . it was about time she showed him how much she loved him too. (Because I think he deserves it :P)

Wanted: 1 Perfect Boyfriend - Flame of Recca - ( Raiha x Fuuko )
Kirisawa Fuuko is going to be married off to a complete stranger if she doesn't find a boyfriend within a year. Desperate to defy the arranged marriage, Fuuko finds a tutor to teach her how to get a man. Question is, would a year be enough? I know the anime is more favoured when it comes to fanfics with Fuuko involved. I also know it's mainly Tokiya x Fuuko, and I'm completely supportive of them, but I'm pro-Raiha as well :) After all, the manga came before the anime, and Raiha x Fuuko were more canon than Tokiya in the manga and anime. Raiha's a great guy, please don't judge the story just because it's him Fuuko is paired with! Give him a chance, give the story a chance :D
