| Daughter of Horus |
Author has written 32 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu-Gi-Oh, Good Omens, Count Cain/Godchild, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokyo Mew Mew, Samurai 7, Eternal Sonata, and Last Exile. Yo! Daughter of Horus, here! Welcome to my profile. Age: born in 1990, figure it out. (My birthday is April 29.) Gender: Female (and proud of it. Boys are idiots.) Likes: The Internet, Phantom of the Opera, Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny Depp...), humor fics, shonen ai, fluff, kind people, my family, being around people I trust, cats, dogs, hockey, Shakespeare's romantic comedies, organizing things, Good Omens, anime, and having nothing to do (I'm really lazy). Favorites Movies: Eurotrip, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Thin Man series, Phantom of the Opera (the 2004 version with Gerard Butler.), Constantine, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas Books: Good Omens, all the Harry Potter books Manga: Gunslinger Girl (Hello? It involves weaponry. Plus, it's in Italy.), MeruPuri, Demon Diary (shonen-ai!), Saiyuki & Saiyuki Reload, Godchild, Black Cat Anime: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Samurai 7, Last Exile Characters: Zuko, Crowley, Ukyo, DIO. (OMG, Dio.) Pairings: Zuko/Katara, Raenef/Eclipse, Erutis/Krayon, Crowley/Aziraphale, Ukyo/Kirara, Charden/Kyoko, Creed/Train, Dio/Luciola. These are my favorites, but I'll read almost anything. Tips for new readers 1) Learning Japanese: If you have no idea what all those terms in fanfics mean, go to http://www.animelab.com. It has a really usefuil Japanese dictionary. About my fics: YGO: 1.) Yami Marik is never in my fics. Terrifying, evil psychopath... I've had nightmares about the guy. 2.) Yami Bakura is still evil, but less extreme--he won't allow Bakura to get hurt, or injure him himself. He CLAIMS he needs him to take over the world, but he cares about his "host" like an older brother. 3.) I use all dub names and info, so Domino City is on the East Coast, near New York (my hometown--I couldn't resist). Bakura, Kaiba and Ryouroka (my OC) are still from Tokyo, so they speak Japanese, and Ryouroka throws Japanese words and phrases into her everyday speech. (I can only speak "fangirl Japanese"--not real, conversational Japanese. Which is why my characters tend to switch rather abruptly between languages.) 4.) Amane is alive, and living with her mother in Tokyo. Bakura's parents are divorced, and he lives with his father. At least, he would, if Yaten Bakura was ever home. (He's an archaelogist.) GO: 1.) To save time, I'm going to put a full physical description of Aziraphale here: Early 30s, blue/gray eyes, sandy blond curly hair, lots of tweed, a little bit pudgy. Not "fat", but out of shape. Wears gold-wire-rimmed glasses, even though (unless I decide to write an AU with him and Crowley as humans) he doesn't need them. 2.) You need this link to understand Ineffability Ch. 3 : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060221/ap_on_go_su_co/scotus_religious_tea. I would have put it in the AN for that chapter, but this site's being a bitch. Tokyo Mew Mew 1.) For the love of God, people: there is not one single computer in the WORLD that doesn't have MS Word and Spellcheck. USE IT. If you can type, you should be able to spell. 2.) "So Much For My Happy Ending" and "Fairytales" are oneshots. Samurai 7 1.) Ukyo lives. Heihachi and Kyuuzou do not. Last Exile 1.) My LE fanfics are being translated into Italian by the wonderful Blejan! You can read them here. 2.) Prester is doomed. Therefore, "Firefly's Light" and all related stories take place either during an apocalypse in progress or on the blue planet. 3.) Last Exile has a definite Greek influence, so most of my minor characters are stolen/kidnapped from the Odyssey and the Iliad. Chapter dedications go to those who can tell who I stole and which book he or she came from. In "Butterfly's Mask", most of my minor characters are named after insects (the bad guys) or ancient Roman writers. Yes, I'm a giant nerd. In classical Greek, "Daphne" means "laurel tree", hence the character's comment that the hotel in "Firefly's Light" chapters 5-6 (the Laurel Branch) is named after her. Curtos is the scientific name of a certain genus of firefly closely related to the Luciola genus. The entire Priamides family and related subplot, featured in chapters 2 through 5, is stolen from the Iliad. 4.) Delphine is dead, and she's staying dead. So is Alex. 5.) All the chapters in "Butterfly's Mask" are named after types of butterfly or moth, and most have something to do with what's in the chapter. Pelopidas, for example, is a genus of butterfly, so the chapter in which he "appears" is titled "Dark Branded Swift," Pelopidas agna. Quotes “Dislike? No, no, I hate her with the fire of a thousand suns.”-OC, Let the Dream Descend by FNP, Ch. 5 “Never try to unravel the mysteries of the fairer sex. You’ll only end up more confused.”-OC, Let the Dream Descend by FNP, Ch. 9 “Meg Giry! Apologize right now or you’ll be roasting on a spit for my lunch!”-Christine, I Wish You Were There Inside My Mind by trisana, Ch. 3 "The Viscount de Chagny was currently trying to decide which was a better route in his current situation. I will no longer be told what to think, what to say. I will no longer be told how to act. I will control myself."-Christine, The Phantom of the Opera Retold: Act II by Kates, Ch. 6 "14 going on 15 and plotting world domination."-My Immortal by Chibi Cheescake, Ch. 2 "Finally, backup troops of sense began to invade Raenef’s brain, guns blazing."-One Plus One by Lethe Seraph, Ch. 11 "The guns had run out of ammo, the troops had encountered an incredibly large and overpowering army of True Love, and they had consequently retreated, vowing to return another day seeking revenge."-One Plus One by Lethe Seraph, Ch. 11 "What about all my friends?" You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success--but only if you persist."-Isaac Asimov "You mean those clothes of hers are intentional?"-Dorothy Parker, American writer "But why is the rum gone?"-Johnny Depp (as Capt. Jack Sparrow), POTC "You have a 1/2 horsepower brain, pulling a two-ton mouth."-Anonymous "I like your opera. One day I think I'll set it to music."--Richard Wagner, German composer "I haven't had as many affairs as Joan Crawford--but outside of a brothel, who has?"-Bette Davis, American actress "No, I am not dead, and I would like to imprint proof of my unequivocal existence on your shoulder with a very vigorous stick. I would do so, in fact, did I not fear the plague miasma of your mephitic corpse."-Marquis de Sade "God send my enemies a celibate life"-Ovid "Only two things are infinite--the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not so sure about the former."-Albert Einstein "That's right. I hit him so hard he fell off the Internet."-Penny Arcade "Well, until you stop these things from happening, this thing (points to self) does not happen!"-Carlotta, Phantom of the Opera "There were no public health laws in Ankh-Morpork. It would be like installing smoke detectors in Hell." -Terry Pratchett, Feet of Clay "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." Douglas Adams "Yuuto=death!"-Kotarou, Hands Off! Vol. 3 "I can't do that! The ESRB would go crazy!"-Klien, Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana "All things dark and creepy"-Ryouroka, on Bakura's deck "The page you are looking for might have been removed, deleted, renamed, stolen, or eaten by an internet troll. It might also be on vacation in Guatemala, or maybe it ran off and eloped with another page, or perhaps it's just hiding, because it doesn't like you."--Error message I got once. "Why am I stuck in a class full of retarded chimpanzees?"-Me, on my Religion class "Dogs are like 8 year olds--when you come home, they run to greet you. Cats are like 18 year olds--when you come home, they look up from the computer and grunt."-Me "Reprehensible cad." "Whaaat?" "Wow, and you're stupid, too."-Me, my mortal enemy, and me again. "Yes, I am morally corrupt, thank you for noticing."-Me "Yu-Gi-Oh! seems dramatic--until you realize it's about guys possessed by haunted jewelry."-Me "It looks like regurgitated carpet."-Me, on a really ugly scarf. "I'm related to morons."-Me "You have 3 choices for dinner tonight--chicken, chicken, or chicken."-My mom "I have decided that testosterone kills brain cells." “Boys are like fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it’s our job to trod on them and keep them in the dark until they turn into something we’d enjoy having dinner with.” ~Anonymous "There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved through a suitable application of high explosives." ~Anonymous "When the Americans went to space they quickly found out that ball point pens wouldn't work in zero G's so NASA spent a decade and 12 billion dollars developing a pen that could write in zero G's, upside down, underwater on almost any surface including glass and in temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 degrees F. "If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless." "I like my minions spineless." "If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten." "Never go to bed angry. Stay up and plot revenge." "I so appreciate your point of view, I almost regret dismissing it." "Your village called. Their idiot is missing." "I'd tell you to go to hell, but I work there and don't want to see you every day." "Locked in a room with you, two tigers, and a gun with two bullets, I'd shoot you twice." "Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial." "Lead us not into temptation--just tell us where it is." "Heaven doesn't want me and hell is afraid I'll take over." "When God said, 'Love your enemies', I think he probably meant don't kill them." "Please talk to my face--my breasts can't hear you." "In the U.S., a woman gives birth every 12 seconds. She must be found and stopped." About Flames There really is no excuse for flaming a story. If you don't like a story, don't review. It's just common sense. If you have flamed me...exasperated sigh...there's something called "common courtesy". Don't review just to tell me my story sucks. It just wastes my time and yours, besides pissing me off. If you want me to write better, leave suggestions as to how I can improve my story. Yelling at me DOES NOT MAKE ME WRITE BETTER, it just makes me angry and depressed. Angry and depressed people do not write well. Capite? (You understand?) Constructive criticism, on the other hand, is both allowed and heartily encouraged. If you think you can help me make my stories better and more enjoyable, I'd love to hear from you, so please feel free to review. Updates: Ineffability: Discontinued.
