Ahhh yes. Here we are at my profile and I find myself unsure of what to write. If any of you read this I am surprised because I would think you would rather read the fics.

About The Girl Behind the Fics- I am a 20 year old college Junior .I am currently NOT in a relationship because we broke up after 3 years, so i'm swinging single for a while. I live in Missouri and go to Drury College. I am an English creative writing major, but I will admit even I make grammar and puctuation mistakes in my fics. I apologize if I do and especially if it makes it even more difficult to understand. If it does, feel free to message me and let me know and I shall change it. There is one thing I will mention; I am more than willing to be a beta-reader should you need one, but I am very grammar, usage and punctuation conscious. I WILL be telling you what you have made a mistake on, and will correct it, but I will also drill it into your head about the proper usage. I, too, am prone to mistakes, especially given the finicky nature of my Word spell checker. I will give you some examples of my pet peeves. It is understandable in the younger classes of writers, but in adults in America it is not. We have excellent reading programs, of which in my experience, the teachers of which were VERY strict with the spelling, usage and punctuation rules. I also realize in other countries such as Australia and Great Britain, et al, that some words are spelled different, such as colors. In those countries it is colours. Thus, that is not a correction I will deal with as that is the accepted spelling in their countries.

Please, if you are going to write and post your story, PLEASE learn the proper spelling and usage for the words you plan on using. It makes it more difficult to understand, especially for the younger set. It is also extremely annoying to have to read a story and, the entire time you're trying to enjoy it, have to decipher the entire bloody thing in your head. Truly, I have come across SOME AMAZING stories, original story lines, engaging characters...but the spelling or word usage was ATROCIOUS. I am not trying to offend anyone, nor hurt anyone's feelings. I truly believe if many of you would but try, you would likely be some of the most amazing authors who would likely be book printing material. Just something for all of you to chew on.
