A short rant on the Marauder Era:

A lot of people write Lucius, Narcissa, Frank, Alice, Bellatrix, etc. into the Marauder's year. Lily&James had Harry when they were 20, which is quite young and uncommon, maybe more common during a war, but Frank and Alice were not necessarily their year. Lucius was at least 4 years older than them he had a prefect's badge on when Snape was sorted, and Narcissa & Bella were different years from each other I've always thought Bella was as old as Lucius and Narcissa was a 2-3 years younger, Oh! and Andromeda was way older than Sirius, I'd say she would've at least been in year 7 when the Marauders started.

Another thing with Alice being in a lot of fics, I've seen her as "Alice Prewitt" in at least 5 marauder fics only one of them actually considering who the real Prewitts were. We know that Gideon & Fabian were the Prewitt brothers, and we knew Molly had brothers named Gideon & Fabian. If Alice had been a Prewitt too, Ron & Neville would be cousins, which they are not, as they first met in year 1, and Ron had not idea about Neville's parents.
