Author has written 24 stories for Lord of the Rings, Charles Dickens, Misc. Books, Lost, Harry Potter, Kathy Tyers, Star Wars, and Doctor Who.

Twenty-two-year-old recent college grad with an English degree, from a state university in a state it's your business not to know, unless you already know, in which case either it is your business or you're a stalker and I'll have to send Daleks/Ringwraiths/Dementors/something else suitably nasty after you. I'm an obsessive devotee of several different fandoms, including but not limited to Doctor Who (and spinoffs, although Torchwood to a lesser extent), Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (my first, though not my dearest), Inkheart, Robin McKinley, Kathy Tyers, Karen Hancock, Artemis Fowl, C. S. Lewis, Douglas Adams, Lois Lowry, Diana Wynne Jones, Neil Gaiman, The Dresden Files, anything by Joss, Farscape, Pushing Daisies, Supernatural, Chuck, The Office, Fullmetal Alchemist, and probably more. My writing LJ, which also includes fanmixes, can be found at theturningworld.livejournal.com.

As for fanfics, though, I primarily write (and read) Doctor Who and Harry Potter, with a lot of other mish-mash thrown in whenever I get bitten by something; lately that seems to be Who-verse crossovers because they're just THAT MUCH FUN. Tolkien, Star Wars and C.S. Lewis will probably get some more time too, along with Kathy Tyers. I ship strictly canon (er, except for some fondness for Neville/Luna. There's nothing in canon to refute it, okay?). Remus/Tonks is my OTP (Firebird/Brennen is too, for a far more obscure fandom), although John/Aeryn (Farscape) has very recently come in as a close second; I'm also awfully fond of Ned/Chuck (Pushing Daisies), Nine/Rose, Ten/Reinette (Doctor Who), Eowyn/Faramir (LotR), Trap/Carissa, Abramm/Maddie (Legends of the Guardian-King), Jim/Pam (The Office U.S.), Buffy/Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, duh), and probably others I can't think of at the moment.

Otherwise, I do not read slash or femmeslash, and I rarely enjoy AU fics; I far prefer to read things that could fit into canon. Something about AU always disturbs me, I suppose just because even though I know it's AU, there's a mental clash between what I know to be canon and what's been written, especially if I happen to like the AU fic. That sort of "what if" I don't find as enjoyable. Spec fics, those written after canon, sometimes give me the same reaction (Harry's 7th year before Deathly Hallows was released, for instance), mostly because I don't like seeing good fics relegated to the realm of AU once new canon comes out. On the other hand, I'm still in pretty firm denial about the deaths of Certain People in Deathly Hallows, so my personal canon there is of necessity AU. But not by much. (Come on, it's not like their deaths really changed anything, and there's no chance of getting seriously canon'd now as long as Jo doesn't give too many more interviews.)

Review me and I will (probably) review you. Eventually. If you add my story to your favorites or your C2, I'm thrilled, but please review--I'd love to know why you liked it so much.

I rate pretty conservatively; don't expect to see anything higher than a T here, anyway.

I've referred to various links in some of my stories but couldn't actually link to them for obvious reasons. For the curious, here they are:

Someday: original posting with other relevant links, because I really can't be bothered to reproduce them all just now
Too Close to the Moon: dw_cross fic exchange
Someday, Shelter From the Storm, A Perfect Darkness, and To Love a Werewolf: phantasmagorienne
Shelter from the Storm: Noldo
The Morning After: nest_of_spiders

Freedom and A Little Christmas Spirit: Nyeren's fic "Inferences of Gold"
