I'm a single, disgruntled writer and gamer (video games and RPGs), ex-infantryman who occasionally wonders why I left Uncle Sam before remembering that I fraking hate mornings.
Status: I am currently not writing or updating any of my Enterprise fics due to a number of factors, not the least of which is a complete lack of interest in the subject matter. I blame the reruns of Enterprise on the Sci-Fi channel, as, while watching a couple of them, I realized just how much of the show that I didn't like (i.e. Archer, or the poorly written TnT relationship, or the dross that makes up most of the series.) So, until further notice, my fics are on hiatus.
For some reason, however, I have rediscovered my love for the Star Wars franchise (though, admittedly, that love pretty much dies out in the aftermath of the Thrawn Trilogy, has long since been buried by the time of the NJO, and doesn't even touch that ridiculous LOTF series). One could say that I'm returning to my roots since I was a Wars fans much, much longer than I was ever a Trek fan. The Unseen War is a trilogy that has long been in the making, though I'm just now dusting it off and re-examining it. It picks up about a year after The Last Command and goes wildly AU after that (since, frankly, I loathed KJA's Jedi Academy series and none of the books set after TTT really interested me, even Zahn's attempt to fix Bantam's frak-ups in SOTP/VOTF).

ENT fans...this is an AinT free zone. I am very much not a fan of CPT Archer as seen on the actual show despite being a fan of Scott Bakula, but I attempt to prevent my dislike for the character as portrayed on the show (particularly the Super!Archer tripe) out of my fiction. I am very MUCH a fan of both T'Pol and Trip Tucker; despite some of the more absurd elements that tPtB decided to tack onto their canonical relationship (like the stupid trell-D addiction and the equally inane extended angst of season 4), I thought they made an exceptional couple. As a result, my fics will reflect that.
The Endeavour series is an ongoing attempt by me to tell the Earth-Romulan War in a way that appeals to me as a heterosexual male so it will be light on romantic fluff and heavy on wartime action and drama; that isn't to say that I'll be excising the romantic elements, merely that I won't be emphasizing them over the fact that Earth is at war for its very survival. Fair warning: I've been called a bloodthirsty misanthrope and my stories reflect that. The Endeavour series takes place after the real finale of ENT, Terra Prime, and does not acknowledge that nonsensical "valentine" which was clearly propaganda spewed forth by supporters of ADM Pressman in an attempt portray CDR Riker as an idiot.
