Why else did Lucas have the affair with her when he was with Brooke or save her from Psycho Derek or carry her out of the library? They both know that deep down they have always loved each other and were never meant to be with anyone else.

(Peyton smiles happily and looks down a little embarassed) And I can't wait till class is over so I can look at those green eyes and kiss your perfect lips. (turning to the teacher) Did I miss anything?
Teacher: No, that, that pretty much covers it. Peyton, care to respond?
(At that Peyton leans over to Lucas and kisses him. The kiss leaves both of them staring dreamily at each other.) Oh, young love. At least you'll be together in detention.
Peyton: (to Lucas) So worth it.

NALEY: They are our typical bad boy meets good girl, but also so much more than that. They have survived from a lot of stuff; I mean, they have been through hell and back and their love is still the same. Their love will never waver and I truly believe that.

Haley: Ahh. What? Yes, I had a second bowl. I was hungry.
Nathan: No, it's not that, I'm just remembering.
Haley: Remembering what?
Nathan: Your hair. You wore it that way the first day you tutored me.
Haley: You remembered how I wore my hair the first day I tutored you?
Nathan: 'Course.
Haley: What else do you remember?
Nathan: I remember the ugly ass poncho that you wore.
Haley: Oh my god, yes you made your feelings for that particular item of clothing very clear. Come on. Tell me really.
Nathan: Well, um, let's see, these jeans, you wore them the day we fell asleep in the park together. And these shoes, you wore these the day we got stuck at the DMV for five hours while we waited for your new license with my last name on it.
Haley: What about my shirt?
Nathan: You wore that shirt in the morning when you sat in the living room and playing that Beatles song on your guitar. The sun just framed your face so perfectly.
Haley: Black Bird. It was the name of the Beatles song that I played.
Nathan: I remember more than you think.

BRASE: Oh my goodness, when Chase came on the show, I was so happy for Brooke and they just fit, you know? Even though she lied to him about the Calculus thing in the beginning, Chase Adams is the guy for Brooke Davis and they deserve to be happy together.

Chase: I don't care about who you were, Brooke; I care about who you are.
Brooke: I didn't think guys like you really existed. Sweet and sincere, and hot. You're like a unicorn.
Chase: (Laughs) A unicorn, huh?
Brooke: Yeah.
Chase: How 'bout a dragon? Yeah, a dragon sounds way cooler.
Brooke: (Chuckles) Okay; yeah, you can be the dragon.
