Author has written 68 stories for Stargate: Atlantis, and Thoughtcrimes. I'm a forty-something (that's close enough) woman with a husband, 3 daughters, two dogs, several cats, and three snakes. I teach high school science and occasionally a class of Human Anatomy and Physiology at the local college. I love photography and scrapbooking, but my big obsession right now is writing. I've been doing fanfiction in my head since junior high school and only discovered the world of online fanfiction a few years ago. Imagine my delight. I've been a big fan of Stargate since the beginning, but I confess to now preferring Stargate Atlantis. My current fanfiction writings are for that show and the movie Thoughtcrimes, but may expand into anything else with Joe Flanigan. I will forever hate the people in charge for killing off Carson and Elizabeth. That was senseless and disloyal of them, both to the fans and the actors. Sorry, had to get in a small rant. I'm not very sociable, which may explain why I'd rather sit at home and write over just about anything else. In large groups I just fade into the background. I'm not very assertive and tend to feel like the third wheel, so just sit quietly by myself wishing I was somewhere else. As I got older, it was just easier not to go to big functions and end up wishing I was home. That being said, my best friends are some of my SGA online friends, who I know a lot better than most of the warm bodies I associate with on a daily basis. I guess some might think that's kind of sad, but I've met the most wonderful friends through the world of fanfiction and I wouldn't trade them for anything. My current hope is that I can meet some of them one of these days, because that would be truly awesome. | |||||||
