Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings.

So, writing my first fanfic. Hope folks like it. Especially since my writing prof thinks I don't write things people can identify with or enjoy, in terms of fictional stories. I normally write op-ed pieces and term papers, so fiction is way off the beaten path for me. I'm a very old student, who's trying to get her BA before I wither up and blow away. If I stink up the room, please tell me and I'll go away.

9Jan06- Onto my second fic. Hopefully it's all right for the masses.

All right, I thought I should just clear up any misconceptions on how old I may be. I am turning 37 in 2006 (this year). I am NOT 12. I have a job. I have a life. I also have a tonne of responsibilities, most of which I'd love to no longer have. I write ROMANCE. If you don't like it, get over it. When you get into your late 30's, like the rest of my friends, you will find that your husband isn't just the bee's knees, and you'll crave a little fantasy. That is what I write. FANTASY. That is what the perfect romance is. Marriage is work, compromise, biting your tongue when he does something entirely daft. It can also be great, wonderfully warm and if you do it right, can last until death do you part. I do not write reality. I write for people who need to insert themselves into a world where their feet don't smell, the dog hasn't just barfed on their favourite sweater and their husband didn't blow the wad on a totally awesome-pair of skis/ motorcycle/ electronicequipment-pretty much insert any stupid purchase here. If you aren't married/with someone/remotely out-there, you can still read it. Just remember real life doesn't work that way. Even though I've been wishing as hard as I can for it. Total bummer, but whaddya gonna do?

If you think I've written a Mary Sue, man, I've got words for you. Real people make up these characters. I build my universe using real people, places, events, etc. I love it when somebody recognizes themselves, or a place or a time period and can totally relate. It's either that or they ask me to give them more sex. I keep telling them I'll write them a one-shot PWP and email it to them to help a sister out. Plus, if you think that PSI ability doesn't exist, my friend, there is a whole multi-verse out there beyond the limits of your perception. I know. I live in it. So do you, but you just haven't clued in yet.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, or you want to reply to something specific. It's all groovy.
