Author has written 14 stories for Legend of Zelda, Naruto, and Golden Sun.

July 5, 2009

From this point forward, please consider all of my unfinished stories from before 2009 officially discontinued. A long time has passed since I've worked on those fanfictions, and not only has my writing style changed, but so have my interests, my preferences, and my overall written voice. At this point, there's no way I could just go back and pick up a plot that's been accumulating cobwebs for years now. That being said, here's what I AM doing:

>Rise of the Beast: Golden Sun
This... is a haphazard endeavor to relive my days as a high school freshman, when I would spend days on end writing and pumping out chapters one after another. I will do my very best that this effort doesn't die, but I'll need your support! The reason I'm posting this as I'm writing it rather than trying to write the whole thing and then post it little by little is because I feel that maybe, just maybe, I'll make it further if I can have feedback in between and see the people that are standing with me. Cross your fingers!

> Untitled Golden Sun fanfiction
This a collaborative story that I am writing along with Yuja. We're alternating chapter-by-chapter - she does the odd numbered chapters and I do the even-numbered ones. Yuja is a GENIUS in these grounds, so this fanfiction is bound to be something amazing when it's finished. Please wait for it patiently, as both of us lead very busy lives.

> Land of Peril: Zelda
Remember "For the Sake of the World", "Face Your Demons", and "The Final Adventure"? No? Good. Please don't read them if you haven't already. "Land of Peril", my most significant work-in-progress, is a rewrite of the three aforementioned stories with an update to both style and content. I'm not going to begin posting any chapters until the entire first story is finished, and I'm currently kind of stuck, dragging myself as best I can to muster the will to write. While I'm really very unproductive at the moment, I really like all of what's already written, so please look forward to its release.

> Shattered Dreams, Tainted Memories by Lady Darkness Diamond: .hack//GU
I'm acting as beta reader for this story as of Chapter 28; Lady Darkness Diamond's plot is very captivating and her chapters are ever the enjoyable read. A while back, I spent an entire day reading all of the chapters she had posted up to that point, so of course I was honored when she offered that I edit her chapters for her. Please do check it out if you feel so inclined.

Profile V.4

Um, hello... I am Uber Spoonz, Ed, Suu, or whatever other name you can fathom to use in my reference. I am currently 18 years old, starting life as a college freshman in August of 2009. I am female, and while I am not any taller than my mother, I have a much better reach.

I first started writing fanfiction a long, long time ago, probably in the third grade, and wrote primarily Zelda fanfiction. Of course, at that time I didn't know what fanfiction was and felt very guilty writing stories using copyrighted characters and locations. As I grew older, I began to completely rip off concepts from TV shows like .hack//SIGN and Cyborg 009, changing a name here or there and throwing in the odd plot device, and called them my original stories. In middle school, I branched into the waters of Tales of Symphonia and wrote all kinds of stories: first-person Mary-Sue fics, script-style stories, crossovers, etc. etc. I even intended to post most of that tripe once my mother allowed me an account on this site. Thank goodness they banned script-style stories around that time. The summer before my freshman year in high school, I got my first sketch book and drew a random girl with colored markers. Somewhere along the line she became the leading Mary-Sue of my "masterpiece", For the Sake of the World. From there, I simply took off with fanfiction; I wrote all kinds of stories, mostly about Zelda because I had acquired an N64 along with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask not too long before that. The majority of the stories in my account are from my freshman and sophomore years, probably because I had nothing better to do.

Junior year: Suu obtains a shiny new computer and a wireless router so that she no longer has to wait on her mother in order to get online. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that fanfiction productivity reached an all-time low with neither updates nor new submissions for the entire year. This pattern continued into this year. I can't believe it's really been three years since I wrote "Uncertain Future"... Really? That's still one of my favorite stories. Isaac is just such a fun character to torment. I say that with as much love as possible.

As far as style goes... I have a soft spot for angst, and I love to make the main character suffer. Ever since my first fanfiction in the third grade, I've been an absolutely sadistic fanfiction writer, a theme which, surprisingly, doesn't carry into my original work. I love reading angst, hurt, despair, utter emotional desolation. For this reason, Yuja's Golden Sun stories are some of my favorites. (I certainly hope you don't take offense to that, Chowder!) It is also for this reason that both For the Sake of the World and Face Your Demons ended in the main OC's self-sacrifice and why (Uncertain Future spoiler!) and also why (The Final Adventure spoiler!). I feel kind of bad about it sometimes. But only sometimes.

I don't like to write short things. Or rather, I like everything to have a clear plot that details at least one good-sized adventure, the exception being that one poem I wrote way back when or the story Air's Rock in which I blew off some steam from writing dark and depressing scenes. Drabbles, one-shots, I tend to avoid them (in writing, not reading). I guess it's just my don't-do-anything-halfway side.

Pairings... Let's see... In .hack//GU Haseo x any female is fine with me. Outside of that, I don't really like any pairing and tend to steer clear of romance stories. The only pairings I really like are well thought out crack pairings, emphasis on WELL THOUGHT OUT. Will I ship Wise One x Hama? Saria x Deku Scrub? Mido x Zelda? Isaac x Karst? Heck yes, every one of them, as long as they're substantiated in the writing. If it is written well, I will support it. The only things I really can't stand to even consider are BL/shounen-ai/yaoi/GL/shoujo-ai/yuri between two characters that were either childhood friends or enemies. See, Isaac x Garet, no one does that because Garet isn't exactly a handsome guy, but Isaac x Felix, that's just as bad. Because two boys can never just be friends, right? And forget the fact that Isaac would probably feel really awkward about Felix forever more after spending an entire game thinking he was trying to destroy the world and trying to take him down. Right, because there's no place in fanfiction for things like LOGIC.

Pardon my rant. I know no one actually reads these things. I'll leave it at that.
