I'm twenty-three years old and somewhat educated.
I enjoy drama, both sappy and non, comedy (if it's actually funny), good spelling, and writers with the ability to construct something resembling a plot (unless it's PWP, which I also fully support but probably won't be seeing much of on FF.Net). I approve of slash, AU's with the caveat that 'AU' does not mean 'ignore what canon says and write whatever the hell I want', good characterization, the Protectors of Plot Continuum (PPC), and recs pages for goodfic. There is not enough goodfic out there; it needs all the attention it can get.
I disapprove of 'summarys', writers who think anyone actually believes them when they say they have no spell-check, homophobia, Mary Sues, flames, and people who can't tell the difference between flames and constructive criticism.
Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don't want to impress people they don't like.
-Will Smith
It is in some ways more troublesome to track down and swat an evasive wasp than to shoot, at close range, a wild elephant. But the elephant is more troublesome if you miss.
-The Screwtape Letters
by C.S. Lewis
As for the grass, it grew as scant as hair
In leprosy; thin dry blades pricked the mud
Which underneath looked kneaded up with blood.
One stiff blind horse, his every bone a-stare,
Stood stupefied, however he came there:
Thrust out past service from the devil's stud!
Alive? he might be dead for aught I know,
With that red gaunt and colloped neck a-strain,
And shut eyes underneath the rusty mane;
Seldom went such grotesqueness with such woe;
I never saw a brute I hated so;
He must be wicked to deserve such pain.

by Robert Browning
My stories:
If it says 'Complete', it's done. Please stop asking me to update; I won't, and it makes me feel bad to disappoint people (if it doesn't say 'Complete', feel free to harass me about it. I can't guarantee it'll have any effect, though).
Oh, and also? Almost everything I write is a vignette. I don't write many chaptered stories because I have a bad habit of losing interest in them, so most of my stories are relatively short one-shots, and I'm pretty much happy like that. Which means, please stop writing to tell me that my stories aren't long enough. There are plenty of fic writers out there who enjoy writing epics, but I'm not one of them.
