So, a few facts about me: I am a 41-year old woman who lives in Upstate New York (the Triple Cities area). I have been writing fan fiction all of my life, or so it seems. My first story was about Scooby Do (I was eight years old, so stop laughing). I am a sci-fi/fantasy junkie who, oddly enough, does not like video games. I prefer television over movies (I like to follow characters for more than two hours), and a good action flick over that silly female bonding stuff (I despised Thelma and Louise - talk about a crappy ending). I drive my boyfriend crazy when I'm writing a new story, asking him ridiculous questions like: are there bears in Kansas? What color eyes does Sam have, anyway? (There are, and blue-green were the verdicts). However, since we've been together more than eleven years, apparently, he enjoys (okay, tolerates) my quest to get the details right. I try and read as many fan fictions as I can, specifically Stargate:Atlantis, Supernatural, and my favorite show ever, Starksy and Hutch (yes, yes, I am a child of the 70's, so cut me some slack), but when I am writing, I do not read fan fiction at all. I then spend days - sometimes weeks - trying to catch up.
Like most of the other writers on this web site, I write because I want to, I have to, the stories must be made public. But I also admit that I love reviews, even the rotten ones. Constructive criticism is remarkably helpful, but please be gentle. Anyway, that's about it. Happy reading! Peg
