Author has written 2 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean.

Hmmm... what to say? I feel the need to say something, just in case anyone checks this page.

Let me start by telling you that I am an actual writer. Yes, I am a published author and I do make a living writing, so I have a bit of faith in my abilities in that area. I must confess that I do tend to write Fanfiction as well, mostly as a means of improving my skills in a somewhat familiar setting. When I don't have to worry about creating plots and characters I can focus more on my descriptions, dialogue, interactions, and other minute details of my writing. I also like to use existing fandoms as means of challenging myself to write in a different or rarely used style.

Now for the big warning: sometimes my characters are Mary Sues! I know, big no-no around here, but I can't help it. I write Historical Romances (smut novels, if you prefer) and anyone who has read one of those knows that the female characters are walking testaments to Mary Sues. They are absolutely ideal, unnaturally perfect and lovely, and they always manage to win the heart of the untouchable rogue whom no other woman has ever been able to tame. I could go on and on but I won't, just be warned that my original female characters might absolutely smack of Mary Sue. If it bothers you go ahead and flame me. I can take it, believe me. Having gone through the painful and nightmarish ordeal of finding an editor and publisher, and being rejected by more than a few, I can take anything thrown at me by the readers at Fanfiction.com.

I don't have a beta, nor do I want one. There may be a few mistakes in my writing but they're mine and I'm okay with that. Hopefully there aren't many; I like to think I'm capable of editing my own writing. My editor might disagree with that but since I'm not getting paid to write the things I post on here I'm not too worried about it. If you catch any terrible mistakes, however, please let me know.

If I do end up posting anything on this site, it will be the stories that I am most proud of for one reason or another. It might be a story that challenged me somehow, or a plot that I really enjoyed writing, or maybe just a story that I like a lot. Whatever my reason for liking it, my feelings won't be hurt if everyone else hates it. I know that my style of writing is an acquired taste, especially considering the Mary Sue aspect and such, and I also know that many people will never acquire the taste for it. Many people hate Historical Romances too but that's what I'm good at so that's what I do. Personally, I love Mary Sues; they're so deliciously tragic and easy to play with, and they often get horribly tortured in my books. I just love writing in general and writing Fanfiction is loads of fun so I can't help myself. If you don't like my stories, don't read them. Simple enough.

On a side note, I want to mention that I am, for the record, a Tolkien purist. I have read all the books, and I do mean all, even the additions and essays and such. I've analyzed them, researched them, and written several college essays about both the man and the worlds he created, so please don't accuse me of not knowing anything about it. I don't mind flames but I will take offense to that because it just isn't true. That being said, anything I write using the LOTR fandom will be based on the recent movies because it is much easier to visualize everything if I'm staring at a picture or television screen. Not to mention that I do NOT want to butcher the genius of Tolkien in my writings. Since Peter Jackson did a good enough job of that himself with the movies I figure if I use the movie-verse as my basis then I can't be accused of committing the crime myself. I will still try to stay true to some of the traditions of the Middle-earth races however, because there's no reason not to.

Oh, and for the record... Plagiarism: the process of copying another person's idea or written work and claiming it as original; stealing somebody's work or idea.

I'm only adding that to my profile because so many people have no clue what plagiarism actually means. I've read reviews where people are accusing the writer of plagiarism because they've used some actual words from the movie in their story. As long as they've included a disclaimer stating that they don't own anything recognizable, then they're not committing plagiarism. Period. I just want everyone to be clear about that because it irritates me when people make such a heavy accusation incorrectly.

I think that's all I have to say so happy reading, flaming, and whatever else you come here to do! I have a Mary Sue to write...

Yeah, I know it's an overdone plot, but I still had to do it. This is my take on the Swann sister plot. No Elizabeth bashing or neglected daughter drama, so I think this one is different than most. LizNorrington, WillOC. Read and enjoy!
