Guys, I'm so sorry, but When We Dared the Dawn and Renewal of the Lotus are not going to be updated for quite a long time. I'm applying for Oxford University and the University College of London soon, and I need to channel most of my time into schoolwork to ensure I get the grades they demand for an English Literature course. I'm also only fifteen chapters away from finishing my original novel, Aurora, and I'm prioritising that to kick-start a career in writing. This means fanfiction has to take a big-time back burner ;-; I'm definitely not abandoning When We Dared the Dawn, and I do intend to finish it, but Renewal of the Lotus is on temporary hiatus.

Whilst you're waiting for updates, DXIII is working on a prequel to the Deux Claret series, entitled Deux Claret: How We Came to Be. I'm really excited about this, and I hope you guys will follow it!

Transformers: Deux Claret

Deux Claret is a crossover of three Transformers universes: Live action, Armada and Animated. The focus is on mech/human romance.

- Rated: Generally T, but some chapters will be marked with M for sex, violence or particularly disturbing content.

Deux Claret is made up of five stories - the main trilogy being How We Seared the Sky, The Day We Hailed the Heavens, and When We Dared the Dawn. The first story is set around a year after Transformers (2007); the second, three years later; and the third, five years after that. Consequently, the whole trilogy spans around a decade. The protagonist is Alexis Paxton, a character based on Alexis Pax from Armada, and the central pairing is Starscream/Alexis. There are, however, numerous other pairings. There is a main antagonist in each of the stories -- Thrust, Unicron and Galvatron respectively. In each story, humans must work with Cybertronians to counter the threat. There are two other stories that I consider part of Deux Claret are the 'spin-off' story, Before We Split the Sunset, and DXIII's How We Came to Be, a prequel which is currently in planning stages. It is best to read the stories in order, but they should be easy to understand as standalone tales, too. Some other authors have stories which can be seen as Deux Claret AU's, as they share similar characters, pairings and plot ideas. These include:

Transformers: Renewal of the Lotus

Renewal of the Lotus is a single story (will not have a sequel), set in the Revenge of the Fallen universe. In contrast to Deux Claret, it will not involve any mech/human pairings, as I'd like people who dislike the idea to be able to get a taste of my writing, too. The focus will be on friendship and comradeship instead of interspecies romance. It takes place during the second film -- not before or after -- and is a twist on Michael Bay's sequel, introducing new plot ideas and characters. Will Lennox's NEST team -- made up of Jolt, Ratchet, Ironhide, Arcee and Sideswipe, as well as their human allies -- are sent to different locations around the world to complete missions for the US government in exchange for continued asylum on Earth. However, everything comes to a head in Egypt, where all of the stories merge in the battle against the Fallen.
