I'm a huge anime/manga fan, and read lots and lots of Harry Potter, which I also like a lot (obviously). Out of all the anime and manga, Bleach (Tite Kubo), Naruto (Masashi Kishimoto) and Full Metal Alchemist (Hiromu Arakawa) are my all time favourites.

As you can tell from my penname, my favourite couple from Bleach is Byakuya x Hisana. The best thing about this couple is that they're canon, so no one can contradict me and say that they'll never get together~!

Completely Random Fact: I love ByakuHisa so much that I bought the Bleach Artbook: All Colour But The Black, when it first came out in Japanese. For sixty dollars. Canadian. And why? Because I wanted the OFFICIAL enlarged version of the Byakuya/Hisana picture from Chapter 179, where Byakuya's staring out at Hisana who's in his garden. I spent sixty dollars for that one picture, which I could have (and did) print off the internet and already had the manga volume of. I'm crazy obsessed, aren't I?

I read a lot. Mostly fanfiction these days though, and less books. Actually, I have a bad habit to reading WAY more than I write. For about every fifty chapters I read, I write one...sometimes it's 100:1...it even goes up to 1000:1...

I just have to post this part. I've been writing it down for ages, and a lot of my friends think I'm crazy.

TOP TEN FAVOURITE COUPLES

10. Naruto/Hinata (Naruto) - They make me go 'awwwwwwwwww'. I love Hinata~ she's just so sweet and cute and innocent - how can you not love her? And her undying devotion to Naruto is really adorable. The scene when she jumped into protect him made me completely melt and I fell in love a little more with them.

9. Gin/Rangiku (Bleach) - These two make me cry. Not in the sad, tragic, not-so-happy fairy-tale ending ByakuHisa makes me cry, but because it hurts. It must be really painful for Rangiku to live with the fact that the man she grew up with, who had protected and helped and raised her throughout her childhood, would betray her in such a blantant way. I guess part of me firmly believes that Gin was blackmailed with Rangiku's life and that's why Gin betrayed Soul Society and sided with Aizen.

8. Shunsui/Nanao (Bleach) - What can I say? These two are HILARIOUS. Funniest couple ever. Beneath all the flirting/whacking and paperwork, you can see that they really care about each other. Hmmm, is fraternization forbidden with the Gotei 13? Don't think so. I mean, Kaien and Miyako were both in the Gotei 13 and they were married...

7. Kira/Lacus (Gundam Seed & Gundam Seed Destiny) - The only reason (ok, maybe not the only reason, but 97 of it is...) I like this couple is because of my friend, who is, absolutely, completely, and totally, addicted and obsessed with this couple. T-T I even printed out 5 pictures of these two to stick onto her locker for her birthday. And she's willing to get a wall scroll of them shipped over from Japan...when the shipping is like...three times as much as the actual thing. But, in the end, they are pretty cute.

6. Ichigo/Rukia (Bleach) - One of the more main border-canon couples in Bleach. They totally go against the whole 'opposites attract' thing that seems to happen with most pairings I like. But you have to love them. They really care about each other, you just have to admit. Even if it's just at a friendship stage now, Ichiruki fans (a lot of Bleach fans too) can't help but think that it'll develop into something more.

5. Shin'ichi/Ran (Detective Conan/Case Closed) - Kawaii~ 3 These two are so cute...though half the time I have to restrain from hitting the computer or the tv when I see Shin'ichi chicken out on telling Ran that he's Conan, or when something happens that prevent Shin'ichi from confessing...-sigh- But they're canon, so I'm sure that they confess soon!

4. Bill/Fleur (Harry Potter) - My love for annoyingly minor canon seems to have no bounds. I was rereading the Half-Blood Prince the other day, and somehow, through the course of the fic, I just completely fell for this pairing. I liked Fleur in GoF (though her holier-than-thou attitude was as annoying as it was amusing) but during HBP I really came to like her, especially when she stood up to Mrs. Weasley during the Hospital Wing scene. Though, I was very annoyed with Ginny and Mrs. Weasley during the course of the sixth, becaause they were really mean to her, calling her names behind her back and insulting her. I mean, they honestly had no reason to dislike her; Fleur was never mean to them, but they just seemed to have decided that they didn't like her, even though before they had probably never met her. Maybe they thought she was a ditz, but she was good enough to enter the Triwizard, and just because she's pretty and part-Veela doesn't mean she's a retard. Bill was obviously quite taken with Fleur, and vice versa, so shouldn't the fact that Bill was happy with her be enough to at least try to make then act civil towards her? I was really disappointed that it took a werewolf attack to make them realize that they are totally perfect for each other.

3. ROYAI a.k.a. Roy/Riza (Full Metal Alchemist) - I love how the whole 'forbidden love' theme is involved in their relationship, especially as high-ranking officers of the military, even though there is no direct saying that fraternization is forbidden in the Amestris Military. But, her relationship to him just as his right-hand woman has landed her in a hostage position under the most powerful man in the state, who just so happens to want his cooperation in something to take over the world. Now, with her life on the line, he can't refuse, not without hurting her. They grew up together (sorta, not really), since he studied under her father, and her father left her in his care. And, it seems that everyone in Riza's family is bent on getting these two married. Her grandfather (Grumman) has offered her hand in marriage to him (maybe there is no anti-fraternization law), and her father told him to take care of her. Well, it's kinda the other way around, in a way, as she's always looking out for him, but it's not hard to realize that he cares about her a lot more than his other subordinates. And she loves him. In the anime is glaringly obvious that they ended up together in way, but the manga is still silent on Mustang's side of his feelings.

2. Neji/Tenten (Naruto) - For a while, these two were tied with Sakura/Sasuke. But when I think about it now, Neji/Tenten have my vote anyday. As much as I hate to admit it, the Sakura/Sasuke relationship has a very slim chance of working out. But I still love them, though Neji/Tenten are my fav. Naruto pairing for now. It just seems so unNeji-ish to train with a girl, so it has to say something about their relationship. Did anyone see the Neji/Tenten moment in Shippuden 14? It was SO CUTE! And the time Tenten was feeding him the Curry of Life Episodes! And how Tenten's pretty much the only living thing that Neji treats casually (Hinata is formal, Lee and Gai...are...well...you know..., and everyone else gets his I-am-superior-to-you look, except Naruto, who Neji doesn't talk to that much anymore...). He's with her 24/7 pretty much! Like, if you ever see them, whether Neji or Tenten, they're usually together unless they were separted on a mission, in their homes, or some other random circumstance.

1. Byakuya/Hisana (Bleach) -I've been obsessed with these two for THREE YEARS. I still love them, to the point where I'm willing to buy Volume 21 of Bleach just for the Byakuya/Hisana chapter, even though I've read it twenty gazillion times on the net. But these two are the most perfect example of a tragic anime Cinderella story I can think of. I mean, she's was from the poorest district in Rukongai, and he's the head of the family that's the head of all noble families, and the greatest leader in his family's history to boot. And yet he married her for love, not out of duty. When against everything he believed in to marry her, and still loves her after half a century, even though she was never able to fully return his love. I think that she did love him, very much, but because of her guilt over abandoning Rukia, couldn't give Byakuya her entire heart.

LEAST FAVOURITE COUPLES (not in order of preference):

1. Ichigo/Orihime (Bleach): They really...bug me. I mean, Ichigo will NEVER like Orhime in that way, and he belongs to Rukia. And, if they both have orange hair, my eyes will burn.

2. Renji/Rukia (Bleach): Rukia's Ichigo's. Renji wasn't brave enough to admit his feelings before. Tough Luck. I'm not totally against pre-Ichigo RenRuki though...

3. Byakuya/anyone except Hisana and/or an OC - unless the OC is a reincarnation of Hisana, and vice versa. (Bleach): Byakuya doesn't seem like the type of person to remarry, especially since he loved Hisana so much. I mean, he's still mourning her death after half a century...Byakuya isn't very likely to fall in love again either, because Hisana still holds his heart, and he's probably closed himself off again. If Byakuya ends up dying or in a life-threatening situation, I can imagine Hisana will be on his mind. Especially this late into the series, I can't really imagine Byakuya with anyone else except Hisana. Plus, I'll probably be tempted to commit murder if it does happen.

4. Roy and Riza (FMA) with anyone but each other. Do I even need to explain?

5. Shini'cihi and Ran (Case Closed/Detective Conan) with anyone but each other. Especially Ayumi or Ai. I like Ai, she's a totally awesome character, but not with Conan/Shin'ichi. No. (see above)

6. Neji and Tenten (Naruto) with anyone but each other. Though a good NejiTenSasu or NejiTenGaa triangle is good every once in a while. A long as, of course, Neji still gets Tenten in the end. In fact, if Neji didn't exist, I'd probably be all for SasuTen or GaaTen. XD

Favourite Characters:

BLEACH: Kuchiki Byakuya and Hisana, of course! I'm a real sucker for romance, and the two halves of my favourite pairing usually make the top two of my favourite character's list. I know some people aren't all that fond of Hisana, and I totally understand the reasoning; however, I could go on and on and on about WHY Hisana deserves her happy ending just as much as everyone else, but then I'll probably be writing essays. Though...if you do want to read one, there's an entry in my LiveJournal (link on this page) that contains an entire essay on her.

Besides, I could never hate Hisana. Hisana is the whole reason I fell in love with Byakuya, and even continued watching Bleach (because, believe it for not, in the beginning, I hated Byakuya with the passion of a thousand burning suns since he wanted to execute Rukia; when Hisana came into the picture, my entire view change though).

Also, I'm a big fan of Rukia (who is wayy cool), Ulquiorra (who is really, really awesome) and Toshiro (sad thing about this is, my younger brother, whose favourite character of all time, his equivalent of Byakuya for me, is Toshiro, has the same birthday as him; I, however, share Aizen's birthday - someone who I hate with the passion of the thousand burning suns.)! Ichigo's okay (don't hate him, don't love him), but his Hero Complex does really bug me sometimes.

NARUTO: Hyuga Neji and Tenten (obviously). Like I said, couples generally make up my list of favourites. Neji reminds me of Byakuya, in the sense that they both are aristocratic (in way, regarding Neji), who have been taught that strength, emotionlessness and power mean everything in life. Of course, if Neji does end up with Tenten, it'll be like ByakuHisa all over again (since I'm pretty sure Tenten is not from a well-known clan, and the Hyuga probably won't be too happy). And interestingly enough, I also hated Neji too in the beginning: all his crap about fate and destiny really got on my nerves (even if it is true to a certain extent), and when Neji was willing to kill his own cousin (much like how Byakuya was going to kill his own sister-in-law/adoptive), I got really, really mad. But of course, like Byakuya, he totally made up for it in the end.

Hinata, Itachi, Sasuke (kinda, for now), Kakashi, Shikamaru and Temari are also in the good books with me. :)

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: Riza Hawkeye is my all-time favourite character from FMA. Of course, Roy is awesome as well, but he isn't as cool as Riza in my books. Riza is...different. Not only does she manage to keep practically her entire male unit in line, but can also pwn anyone at shooting. When I found out about her past, I totally felt my heart go out too her; I totally admire her too, since she was able to go through everything that she did, and still become the person she is today.

Roy is...cool. He isn't quite like the other male characters I tend to favour (like Byakuya and Neji, who are practically the same personality wise), but I do admire his will and his strength in his goal to make the country a better place. When/if he does become Furher, I do think that his war crimes might come back to haunt him though...

HIKARU NO GO: SAI!! FUJIWARA-NO-SAI! He's so awesome...I nearly cried when he disappeared, and when Hikaru was in that old room of kifu, and he asked God to return him to the time when he first met Sai, I actually did cry. sniffsniff I love Sai, especially when he gets all chibi and cute and his face gets all pouty...it makes me want to hug him! =D That, and he's really, really, really, really pretty. Prettier than Akira (which is saying something). If Sai was a girl, (s)he'd be the prettiest girl in the series. =D

And Akira, definitely. Because Akira is just awesome. =D And Nase too, because even though we barely even see her in the anime/manga, I just seem to like her...you know? As the only girl in a (go) world literally swarming with guys, being the only girl must be tough. That, and she's got pairing potential. I quite like Isumi too, and Le Ping (I can never seem to stop thinking about the day Waya and Le Ping FINALLY meet. It'll be...amusing, to say the least).

Characters I am not too fond of...(or, in some cases, despise with a burning passion from the deepest, darkest corners of my soul):

1. (BLEACH) AIZEN. I hate him so much. So much. Not only did he totally betray everyone in Soul Society, he caused Rukia, Ichigo, Toshiro, Momo and a whole ton of other people a lot of pain. Not to mention that he's totally obssessed with world domination and doesn't care who he hurts in the way.

The fact that I have the exact, same, friggin' birthday as Aizen (who is my least favourite character) when my brother, who as the same birthday as Toshiro (his most favourite character in existence), really, really, really pulls at my nerves. Stupid reason, I know, but it nevers fails to get on my nerves.

2. (BLEACH) Orihime. I liked her pre-Hueco Mundo arc, when she was fun and cheerful (and a bit air-headed) but after she was taken by Ulquiorra, she went through that whole emotional meltdown and started relying on Ichigo to save her more and more.

Books:

HARRY POTTER!!: I love Harry Potter. I read and finished the seventh book the first day it came out!! It took me rougly 10 hours and no food to do it, but I finished it! I've seen all the movies too! Strangely, unlike most people, I don't support the Harry x Ginny couple...(I'm not really all that fond of Ginny, especially in HBP; she was just so horrible to Fleur for no particular reason - it seemed like petty jealously more than anything else...) I like Harry x Hermione better, which is rather odd...since I usually agree to whatever couple happens in the end...or are most 'common' or canon...(note all my other favourite pairings...two of which are the ultimate portrayal of canoness - in which they're married).

Music:

BoA: My favouritest artist EVER! My iTunes library consists more than 40 percent of her songs, and a lot of the songs I have every version she's sang (Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, etc., heck, even instrumental!). I admire her a lot - a lot of celebrities who broke into the entertainment business at the young age generally have broken down under the constant pressure, and have seen massive downfalls in their career. My favourite songs by her, in no order, are:

1. Key of Heart (Korean) - I love the tune and the lyrics and the Korean Olympus CF with Donghae from Super Junior. It was so sad...
2. Everlasting (Japanese) - The prettiest ballad I've ever heard. When I first heard it, it was stuck in my head for months.
3. No. 1 (English, Japanese, and Korean) - Such an upbeat, catchy song! I love it! And she's got crazy good dance moves!
4. Valenti (any language) - Her greatest single, and I love the tune.
5. Waiting (Korean) - It's so pretty. And I love the lyrics - they're a total ringer for ByakuHisa

I shall support her all the way, especially now that she's debuted in America!

Other fav. artists include...Carrie Underwood, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, YUI, and DBSK (their dramas are beyond amusing), etc.
