Author has written 3 stories for X-Men, and Harry Potter.

Ahem.
To whom it may concern:

I'm on the wrong side of 30 and I live in Italy with my husband, a daughter and a goldfish. I used to be a biologist, but I've switched the micropette for the spray gun and turned a corrosion consultant.

I've been into graphic literature for as long as I can remember, starting with the obligatory Mickey Mouse comics at the tender and long-forgotten age of three. I mainy read Italian stuff like Tex, Dylan Dog, Magico Vento, Dampyr, Nathan Never and Martin Mystére. My hubbie introduced me to X-Men after the movie came out and will never be sorry enough.
An unanticipated bivouac at London Stansted is responsible for my recent acquaintance with the work of JK Rowling instead, and Harry Potter has become my main interest because of the relative novelty (well, for me at least).

I've found out about fanfiction just recently. The first story I read was Connie Hirsch's Kid Dynamo, which got me hooked enough to crave for more. It's too bad that the dwindling quality of the X-books sent good fiction authors looking for greener pastures.

My first writing efforts, in hindsight, could be labeled as Watership Down and Kimba ripoffs (hey, I was 10). In more recent times, I've pleaded guilty of having made up Mary-Sueish fluff about my favourite bands and recounted a feud between rival street gangs in my secondary school - in the same story. My one (1) reader said she liked it, but I was much stronger than she was, and that might have affected her judgement.
English is not my first language, but I feel that one or two additional readers are worth the extra effort. I'm at the best of my literary abilities when I'm in a funk, which explains the tone of my stories.

Right now I'm in the process of polishing a Gambit-centered story that I've been working on for several years, and I'm working on a HP 'redo' fic. I alternate between the two, depending on which side of my brain writer's block has decided to sit this time.

Update 08/12/2007:
Yup, I'm back after a long leave. It was well worth it - I've got a baby girl, an Internet account and a lot of new ideas during these months. For now, enjoy the second chapter of Destined to Repeat It; The Apologist will be following shortly.

Over,
Bone
