I used to write X-Files fanfic many years ago under the name of Pellinor, when I also created the Deep Background fanfic writers' resource (which I'm gratified to see is still out there, although I've long since handed it over.). I then spent several years writing Star Wars fanfic that I never posted, and working on a couple of original fantasy novels (that I proceded to sit on and never once try to get published.) In 2005 I returned returned to fanfic under this new name, and wrote mostly Dark is Rising fanfic for two years, with occasional forays into the world of Diana Wynne Jones. However, as of summer 2007, I intend to be writing Stargate Atlantis fanfic for a good long while. My preference is for long stories with plot and character development. However hard I try, I tend to end up writing angst and I like to express my enduring love for my favourite characters by hitting them. Hard. In real life, I'm a children's librarian. I live on a small island floating off Britain. I love fantasy novels, history, folklore, gaming, role-playing, traditional song and dance - and writing, of course. I post most of my writing on fanfiction.net, but not quite everything. Parodies, humour, drabbles and one-shots written for LJ challenges don't tend to show up here.
