Author has written 6 stories for X-Men: The Movie, and Pirates of the Caribbean. "Always." -Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows It's me, Halleyjo. Who am I, you might ask? I am a walking oxymoron. I strongly believe in God, but I also think stem cell research, gay marriage, and abortion should be legal. I read Seventeen religiously, but can often be found in the comic section of Borders, catching up on the X-Men. I've always had trouble connecting with people, but have a copious amount of friends. I love my family more than anything else, but at times feel like we're from different countries. I love the USA, but not the president. Who am I? I'm your average teenager. Welcome to the twenty-first century, love. A few things about me: As you can probably tell from the quote at the top, I'm a Harry Potter nerd. A big one. Actually, I'm a nerd in general...but still. I'm also a completely hopeless romantic, something else you may have gleaned from that particular sentence. It's caused problems in the past. And present. I despise most things about Disney Channel. High School Musical is one of them. Who else feels that Miley Cirus' voice sounds like a dove caught in a garbage disposal? When I get writer's block...I get it bad. And now for some semblence of a regular profile. I'm fifteen and in high school. I heart Hot Topic gloves with a passion. I straighten my hair when I have the time. I love my dog more than most people love their pets (how many people can say they've accidentally changed a puppy's name to "Pretty?"). I'm a grammar and spelling fanatic. I play the oboe and sing. I used to be overweight, but thanks to the miracle of exercise and fruit, I'm now a bit less than average. However, people seem to believe that it's not possible to lose a double digit unit of weight without starving yourself or throwing up your food. I've done it the healthy way, I'm really happy now, I have more energy than ever, and there are visible muscles on my arms now. Actual muscles! I'm not a stick, and I'm not anorexic, folks. Yay. I can't dance. At all. I can sing, just not as well as I would like to. This year, I've been improving my writing due to a new English teacher, who I think has encouraged me a lot. I'm also working on acting, which I'm thinking about doing professionally. Either that or writing. Maybe both. Or actually, I might become a forensic scientist. Yeah, either a writer, actress, or forensic scientist. I've totally got my life planned out. Personality-wise, I'm not really sure what I can say. Remember a few paragraphs ago, when I mentioned that I'm a walking contradiction? That applies here as well. One instant I'm shy, the next I'm shaking your hand and asking you where you got your shirt. One minute I'm studious, the next I'm slacking off and writing in my journal while the teacher talks. I think the reason why my personality changes so much is because I like to act, and constantly imagine roles for me to play. If you read anything by David Sedaris, you'll know what I mean when he talks about his sister Amy Sedaris. For anyone who wants to know what I look like, I have light brown hair that goes just past my shoulders, a scar on my shoulder from a surgery, and green eyes. -xXx- Here's some of my notes and thoughts on fanfiction: My stories (in order they should be read): Star from the Start (still being written; it's a prequel to my other stories) A Song for Someone Special A Small Problem The Visiting Writers can be read at any point. I've also adopted a Pirates of the Carribean story from TEH AMAZING Jinxeh, called Hindsight. If people review my stories, I always reply back. I've just gotten into the habit of that, but I stick by it now. It's seems a bit impolite to not do so. Also - I take writing very seriously. If I click on a story, I scrutinize it. If you have bad grammar and spelling, I'll tell you. If you have a blatant Mary-Sue, I'll tell you. If your writing is so full of errors and choppiness that it's beyond coherent...well, if I can't read it, then I won't be able to review it, now can I? Yes, I'm a critical reviewer. But by no means am I a flamer. I review because every author needs feedback. If you can't take criticism...you might have a problem there. I only do it because I love you all so much. : ) -xXx- And now back to my profile. Also, my homepage is a website created by my friend Amarandh'sgenius brother. You should check it out; it's pretty cool. And I will leave you with this final query presented by my brother: "How come dogs don't like it when you blow on their faces, but whenever they get in a car they stick their heads out of the windows?" Bye bye for now! | |||||
