Author has written 21 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, StarTrek: Other, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan. I think I've been a member on Fanfiction.net for roughly five years. I guess if I went and looked at my stats for when I joined I could tell you exactly when, but I'm too lazy to do that and five years is close enough to satisfy me. I used to be far more active on here than I am now, but I do still poke in now and again. If you go chronologically through my stories I think you'll see a definite evolution. My very early stories are all Star Trek parodies. I leave them up because people seem to enjoy them...and I did enjoy writing them some five years ago, though I don't think I'd write them now. Next came the Trekkie Soul Era, still Star Trek, still comedy but not quite the wild parody of the earlier stories. Then along came The Make of a Captain, still Trek but my first serious work and quite different from anything that came before. While I was writing tMoaC I also discovered Captain Jack Sparrow, and thus my next move to write Cornfield Madness, which I fully admit is nothing but rollicking good fun (I hope) and not the slightest bit serious or meaningful. Since then I encountered Phantom of the Opera and so there may be a Phantom story up here some time. Lately I've been doing original work, and that is certainly a large part of why I'm not on here as often as I used to be. I'd just like to say that I was very lucky for a few years to be part of a very active and truly wonderful community over on the Star Trek: TOS page, and if any of you are reading this, I love you all! Don't forget--risks are our business! "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." --Henry David Thoreau "The one all-important canon of literature: 'Thou shalt not write a dull book.' " --paraphrased from L. M. Montgomery | |||||||||
