UPDATE 3-18-13: ...Did I say by the end of 2012? Yeah... life does that, doesn't it? >> But I still plan on finishing BDD! I swear!
UPDATE 10-5-11 : My computer has currently been out of commission for a while now. My comic has been going well (http://www.longitudesandlatitudes.com) and I've now had my world overtaken by ponies. But I swear - I SWEAR TO WHATEVER GOD THAT EXISTS AND TO ALL THAT IS HOLY - that I will finish my rewrites... by the end of 2012, Breaking Dark Dawn will be FINISHED.
UPDATE 5-10-10 : I am now an official author. You may purchase my first book here: http://www.amazon.com/Personal-Demons-Binding-Ruthie-Hanson/dp/1451286171/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1296083201&sr=8-1 Or you can go to your local bookstore and request it.
Aubrey Coleman had never been one to stand out in a crowd. With her nose in a book and her head hidden in sand, she chose to go through life as seamlessly and uneventfully as possible. But when a tall - very tall - and mysterious man comes into her life, her entire world turns upside down in the blink of an eye, and she is left with no choice but to help this man Val in his mission. A mission that holds the fate of the world in its midst. But more then allied trust blooms between these two. And as romance flourishes, the danger becomes greater. The ethical lines between morality, responsibility, sacrifice and selfishness blur in a fast aced rush to catch a psychopath from destroying Earth. And is Aubrey more connected to Val's world than she realizes?
So. My name is Tprinces (T-Princess). If you'd care to see any of my videos, click here - http://www.youtube.com/user/Tprinces
My biggest influence as far as writing goes is David Gutterson. He wrote the novel Snow Falling on Cedars. If you haven't read it, or never even heard about it, you absolutely must. It's a fantastic novel about murder and past love. Tragic, but very beautiful. I swear, that man writes in poetry. In any case, read it. I also enjoy Bloodline by Kate Cary, and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
I absolutely DESPISE the Twilight series. As a writer myself, I find that Meyer's style is both bland, generic, and rapes a thesaurus in every possible way imaginable. Her misuse of synonyms is down-right laughable, and her poor attempt at rewriting myth is pathetic, to say the very least. The characters are bland and uninteresting, and if they aren't that, then they're completely unlikable and repugnant. Plots and character development are practically non-existent, and the dialogue is enough to make anyone gag. Not to mention the fact that the ideals and propaganda that the series pushes on girls is absolutely absurd. Which is why I have taken the liberty of rewriting the ENTIRE SERIES. Yes, you read that right. It's down below. Go on. Go read them. You know you want to.
As for the rest of my likes, I'm currently a huge fan of the anime Hellsing (the OVA's, not the TV series), I also enjoy Fullmetal Alchemist, Vampire Knight (the manga), InuYasha, Death Note, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, and as much yaoi as I can get my hands on (yes, I'm not afraid to admit it). As you can tell by my list of stories, I used to be a very avid Teen Titans fan. When I'm not writing, I'm making videos or working on my yaoi pirate comic with my beloved Ren Tobark :3 http://longitudes-latitudes.deviantart.com/
Well, that's about it. Feel free to send me a message and read what you like. But might I suggest the later stories? Anything from 1-11 is best. Maybe a few below, but not much further... I'm afraid I wasn't too talented when I was fourteen years old...
