About Me
Hi. Mi name is Marina and I am 20 years old. Even though right now I live in U.S.A. (Washington state), I was actually born on November 1988 in Russia, but then, 5 years later I moved to Ukraine. Obviously, Enlish is not my first language, but my third. And therefore, I apologize for any mistakes I will make while writing. What can I say? I am still learning. Now I have lived in America for 8 years, but still there is a huge lack of vocabulary that certainly doesn't make my life easy. But the good thing is that I am a perfectionist (probably way too obsessed with perfection) and that makes me go out there and do the best job I can in whatever I do, so there shouldn't be too many mistakes, at least not the ones I know of.

In the fall of 2007, I have started going to the University of Washington on academic scholarships, which is located in Seattle, Washington. Hey, if any of you guys go to UW as well, it'd be really funny. I guess it would mean that we really do live in a small world.

My Favorite Music
I guess my tastes in music are sort of old-fashioned. I like soft and slow music in general. I can't stand rock and rap, and sort of hip-hop. In fact, when I had to listen to hardrock at school (and it was on very loud) I head a huge headache. There are always exceptions. I might like a song from a type of music I don't usually like, but that is pretty rare.

Some of my favorite English music artists are Celine Dion (I have 11 of her CD's), Josh Groban, Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Selena, Marc Anthony, and some songs of Nsync and Backstreet Boys.

My Favorite TV Shows
I don't watch that many TV shows lately. My latest obsession was Charmed, but now the show is over and I've seen the reruns who knows how many times. Right now I don't really have anything that I watch on a regular basis, except for maybe Life with Derek.

"Life with Derek" - yes, I know that many people prefer the Dasey (Derek + Casey) pairing, and to tell you the truth, the first time I even found out about it was from fanfiction.net. It was really funny. I didn't think it was extremely gross like some, but at the same time, I never really thought of Casey and Derek that way and I've seen only a few episodes by that time. Now, however, after reading quite a few Dasey fanfics, I've got to admit, they're pretty fun.
