I was eight years old when I first saw Star Wars in the movie theatre, even though Darth Vader terrified me, he was still my favorite. My best memory of the Star Wars series was when my older brother and I got into a fight about whether Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker’s father. I told him that it was impossible for a machine to have anything to do with creating children. Of course in 1980 none of us knew the entire story as we do now. I was sad when Darth Vader died at the end of Return of the Jedi, but at least he died saving the one that he loved. I have always enjoyed characters that are tough on the outside, but deep down they have a heart, even if in Darth Vader’s case it was buried in the dark side. The Emperor had no heart, he was definitely Satan Incarnate!
