“Here,” Angelica said as she handed the book back to her aunt. Her aunt had allowed her to borrow the first book of a series she enjoyed. But Angelica turned red as she read the book. There were some provocative situations in the text which she felt she shouldn’t read. She was only twelve. It was wrong for her to read or hear about such things. She returned the book unread.

Several days later, the young girl looked up fanfiction, once again, for the anime her friends had so vehemently worshipped. She began to love the anime just as her friends did, if not for them. She began to read one of the many epic fictions. Then the word ‘cock’ stuck out in the blur of other words. She shouldn’t be reading this. She was too young. Why would someone write something like this? But she couldn’t stop reading it. The fiction was far too good to abandon simply because she was too young to know much about sex.

Angelica fell in love with the pairing this sex scene presented her with. She had never thought of it before, but she understood how perfect it was. It didn’t even occur to her that two males having sex was unnatural until she urged a friend to accept the pairing and fall in love too. She felt a twinge of fear that her friend might reject her and the brilliant idea due to the fact that it was homosexual love.

At age twelve, Angelica did not understand what was so wrong with homosexuality. The only time she had ever even given thought to the subject, she was seven. Her elder cousin of three year tried on her mini-skirt.

“But boys don’t wear skirts,” she told him.

“I do. If girls can, why can’t I?” he replied. And why not? He played dress-up with their grandmother’s clothes with her, and he played Barbie doll with her too. So why should he not wear her skirts?

His reply erased any abnormality she had in her head. Homosexuality wasn’t a word in her world. People were what people were. Until she was twelve and stumbled across homosexual fanfiction. Then, her friend fell hard for homosexual boy love as well. And they spent their pre-teen and teenaged lives living for it.

I am Angelica, but the majority of people call me Angel. I've been called Angel since I was born. So much that it's weird to hear myself referred to as Angelica. By the way, the pairing I came across when I was twelve, if any of you were wondering, is Hiei/Kurama from the show Yu Yu Hakusho.

I have the bad habit of not backing up my stories. A while back, I lost two fanfictions that I had written yet not finished.

One story was an angsty romance to Pokemon with the pairing AshxGary. The other story was a humor/romance one-shot I wrote for Harry Potter with the pairing AlbusxScorpius. It had a sequel coming.

For about a year, I have been working on what I hope is a very interesting Dudley Dursley/Charlie Weasley story. I do hope you enjoy what I have posted on this site.
