So. I finally get around to adding a profile after how long? Take this as fair warning about my habit of procrastination.

I like to read, I like to watch anime (as well as a few American TV series) ... and I like to write. Fanfiction incorporates all addictions nicely; it was only a matter of time before I got hooked on this, too. :) I can only hope that others enjoy reading my stories as much as I've enjoyed writing them.

Context: I currently live in the Chicago area, though I grew up in Pennsylvania.

Main Text: Anime was a natural crossover with my long-time love of science-fiction and fantasy, and I've been a fan for ... clears throat ... a number of years by now. Favorite anime/manga series include: Kodomo no Omocha (which has remained #1 through thick and thin so far), Fullmetal Alchemist, Twelve Kingdoms, and Immortal Rain, among many, many others. Prince of Tennis and Gravitation, while not as high on my favorites list, definitely hold a special place in my heart because they inspire me to write in their fandoms most.

Subtext: Generally, I do not have any One True Pairs for any series. In my experience, a good writer can make me like just about any pairing, whether it is shounen-ai or with an original character. I'm also bemused by the Mary Sue issue--my conclusion is that I think it depends on the eye of the beholder, and therefore I have no qualms in admitting that by some definitions my OCs are Mary Sues.
