A man of immense presence: Henry VIII with muscle and not fat. 3)Doktor Marlena Falke: Canadian born physician/surgeon, early 30's. In Germany assisting her fellow Mennonites to emigrate from the U.S.S.R. when war broke out. Stranded behind enemy lines and is 'hiding' behind her German background in Hammelburg when the men find her. A pacifist, she and they struggle to come to terms with one another. 4)Sgt. Alec Sutherland: another P.O.W., from Nova Scotia. 5)Jessica Elizabeth Kinchloe, M.D.: Sgt. Kinchloe's younger sister.
