Hi, I'm Barbara, the ECQ (Evil Cliffie Queen - a nickname I earned during the posting of Déjà Vu on LiveJournal). I'm in my 30s, female, married with a preschooler. I seem to be obsessed with superheroes right now...
Since summer of 2005 (with no signs of slowing), I have adored Spider-Man. First the movies, and then the comics. Somehow, in a very short time, I've managed to read hundreds of Spider-Man comics. I've read the first few decades, and the last several years, but I'm still working on the 80s and 90s...
And then I started writing Superman. I've always loved the character, starting with the movies in 1978 and 1980 (I never saw the other two, and judging from the reviews, it's probably just as well). Then I avidly followed Lois and Clark the series, watched the DC cartoon, and have seen every episode of Smallville. With 2006 came Superman Returns. I was mildly interested at first, but the more I read about it, the more it captured my imagination.
If you are interested in meta, I wrote an essay discussing the issues in writing movieverse Clois - I think the comments people left are really fascinating as well!
Some TV shows I love: Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, and Monk.
I also try to reply to every review I receive if possible (although I have not been able to sometimes), so feel free to ask questions or give constructive feedback! If you have written any fics on my interests - message me! I also love to dialogue with readers; I have made so many great fic friends the last two years!

Now Complete:
Déjà Vu: Post-Superman Returns. I appreciate all the fabulous support you all gave me between July 2006 and February 2007. And I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped to make this the most highly reviewed story in the Superman section by hundreds of reviews. I never would have dreamed it was even possible.
Works in Progress:
1) More 12 Days of Clois Superman one-shots
2) Birthday fics for friends at LiveJournal and elsewhere - a couple a month, sometimes more, until Aug. 2008. All different fandoms represented.
Works Lurking in the Hazy Regions of my Consciousness:
For Love: A post-Spider-Man 3 story, focusing on the Stacys, but with Peter/MJ at the core. (I've reached a mental roadblock on Ch. 2. The file often sits open on my desktop waiting for a sentence or two to be added...)
Where is the sequel to Déjà Vu, you ask? Well, I don't have one immediately planned, but if the Muse comes to call, I'll answer the door. ;)

You may have also noticed that I am betaing practically half of the Superman Returns fandom. Okay, maybe that's overstating it, but it's quite a few! But thanks all of you for contributing such great stories to this site!
LiveJournal users:
Oh, and if you are a LiveJournal user, come by and say hello! I post update status, previews and other personal stuff. Love to hear from you - and feel free to friend me. And even if you're not an LJ user, come and read anyway, and post anonymously. (Big hint).
I also post some of my smaller one-shots over there exclusively. If you really enjoy the shorter pieces, you might want to come take a look!
