Presently suffering form TERRIBLE WRITERS BLOCK! OMG its so annoying! Help please! (04/12/08

I'm around but mostly just reading and editing. Possibly adding a story for Popular. I'm back at least temporarily. I have to warn you, my attention span is horrible. I write a bunch of a story, and then get bored and never finish it. Case in point look at the 5 I have. All of them have more chapters to them, but I dunno where (well actually I have about 15 more chapters for the halo story right now). It's kinda annoying. The thing is I rely on feedback to keep me going, and if I don't get it I just fall flat on my face.

So yea, my lack of attention... what are we talking about again?

Honestly...I liked the KOTOR's, and im a master halo 3 sniper/general player(or at least i consider myself one... better then any of my friends and decent on live now) and I'm 19...

Enjoys long walks on the beach, with pina collatas (sp?)...

well not rlly... but eh who cares...

So yeah... for authors i like Michael Stackpole... i've followed him to all the series he writes... even if the series is lame, his writing is just so amazing that i still heart (thats right, heart... it wouldn't let me do a 'less than 3')it... Then of course the usual writers of like tolkien and that lot...

Stories:

A Call to War (Star Wars KOTOR): OOOH! REVIEWS! So yeah I guess I'll post a few more chaps... though I had started writing another chapter and decided to change it. Before was gonna go through KOTOR, nowI think I'll stop just as KOTOR would start.

One Life to Live (Star Wars KOTOR): Not happy with the name at all... but I just couldn't thinkof a name, so I just picked the first thing that popped in my head. So its a look at KOTOR, with LSFRevan and then a male marine added who turns out to have force powers... is it RevxCarth, or Revxmarine (marine is Corran)? good tension between the 2...I think, or so the plan goes in my head...

Underworld Reborn (Underworld): I always liked the Underworld movies. Lot of backstory to it thats not explored, and most of the fics there deal with other stuff... of course, I write my own story following a lot of whats there, but I thinks its interesting. So yeah, u gotta see the second movie to have a clue whats going on.

In the Light and Darkness of Us (Star Wars): So this is about LSF Revan and what she goes through after Bastilla is captured, and how she reacts to everything. Also touches on Bastillas fall, and on how Revan spins out of control...

A Hidden Battle (Halo): Umm its the story about a marine platoon, set from a first person perspective of a member of it. Follow's their battle's. Over 60k words written and 97 pages. Show interest and I'll publish it haha.

Always (Popular): A short one shot, about the choice in the season finale of popular. From Sam's POV, left open to intrepretation.

Popular Story Arc: A combination of short stories that move through the shows exploring Sam and Brooke's lives. May involve SB pairing.

1. Will of Iron, Heart of Gold (Popular): Short story situated over final 3 episodes of the first season. Sam and Brooke both come to realizations, Sam about family, and Brooke about Sam. Not my best work

2 more stories in progress in between (maybe even 3)

4. Forever Weak, Forever Strong (Popular): Short story from Sam's perspective about Harrison's struggle with Leukemia. Center's more around her struggle though really. Dark.

Projects: Probably more popular fics, exploring other characters, but most likely more on Sam. I really like her character, it's intriguing to me cause I see a lot of me in her, despite our opposite genders. I'm searching for something that catches me eye. The toughest part for me is a topic, once I get started it just all come booming in. If you have a suggestion, tell me please lol. I love writing!

I've kinda lost interest in my Star Wars stories. It's unlikely they'll ever be finished. Underworld won't get finished either likely, though it's more probable then Star Wars. Maybe if I watched the movies again I'd get into it. My Halo story I love to write. I write that one for myself however, so even though I write a bunch of it, it's only gonna get published if people review it.

About my writing: So my writing is COMPLETELY unplanned. Quiet literally, I sit down and start typing, and try to get a story going. This usually means the first 400-500 words are pretty shitty as I try to find a rhythym. I could try to fix it, but I CAN'T! I just have to operate like that. Once I get a rythym I get a general goal for my story, but not how to get there. Then it just sort of writes itself. This makes my plot's sometimes a bit weird, for which I apologize, but I like to think not horrible. One issue I tend to have is I get ahead of myself. I'll write a bunch of the story, then go to sleep and while falling asleep plot this big huge story, and then with these great ideas that I get later on I skip a bunch of stuff that I wanted to do (see A Call to War... it's horrible for that, 9 chapter's I figured would be like Revan leaving Bastilla instead of almost done haha)

I like to write in First Person a lot more than Third Person. I find that I can put myself in the character's shoes, and that lets me flesh out more of them. It has its drawbacks, and good lord are those drawbacks brutal. Get's hard to explain what's going on outside of the character. I like the idea of jumping around in first person views. Do it too much though and I feel it get's confusing. It's a thin line, one I don't think I know how to walk. Also, readers tend to prefer third person I think. Dunno why, just a vibe I get!
