Hello, I am Computerfan (formerly lotrfan2005, lotrfan2006, lotrfan2007, lotrfan2008, lotrfan2009, lotrfan2010).

I am 18 years old and from England, recently completed the second year of college, doing Aquatics Management. My hobbies include fishkeeping, playing the acoustic classical guitar, computer games and of course, writing stories/fan fictions. I've been writing for 10 years now, I've always been fairly good at spelling and grammar, so any mistakes you see are most likely a typo or simply me not re-reading. Anyway, my main fictional interests are Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. But my favourite genres to write fan fictions about, are Lord of the Rings, Pokemon and Animal Crossing.

I had hits/visitors to my fanfics for 474 days straight... Unfortunately, this record was broken on the 11th September 2011. I was sad.

I have five fan fictions up at the moment, but only two currently ongoing. Here's a basic summary of each.

Discontinued Fanfics

'Swapping Bodies' - My oldest fanfic, a one-shot comedy fic (which is hardly funny.) Even though it's now 4 years old, I still get the occasional review, which is nice. Anyway, Gandalf is annoyed about Legolas and Gimli constantly arguing and insulting each other, so he switches their bodies. Gimli is delighted to be popular at first, but then realise an insane amount of fangirls isn't really a good thing... Legolas hates being a dwarf, but then begins to enjoy the freedom from his fangirls. However, the fangirls scheme to put makeup on Gimli, so Legolas comes to the rescue. Finally, they both work together to suggest putting makeup on Gandalf, who finally gives in and changes them back. (2006 aged 13)

'A Warrior's Tale' - A fanfic based on the main storyline of Guild Wars. Inspiration from one of my friends, who was Wazzdakka (I was Drudkh). Anyway, Wazzdakka is new to Tyria, does all the training stuff with the help of Drudkh. Just follows the story, with a few added parts. Not very original, but was still fun to write. I'm not writing it any more, and there are loads of grammar errors. (2006 aged 13)

'Lord of the Cupcakes' - Heh, one of my most successful fanfics, yet still a really cruddy story. Basically, an incredibly random story where the LOTR characters decide to make the story themselves. Just so you know how random it is, look at the title. But there is a storyline, and the evil 'Voice' soon begins to show his clear intentions with letting the characters make the story. Yeah, I'm no longer writing this, despite it having more fans than anything I've ever written. (2007 aged 14)

'School Day Nightmare' - Oh geez, so unoriginal. However, this is probably the first well-written story on here. Basically, Jack, Maria and Katie end up in Moria, join fellowship, big tragedy adventure bla bla bla. Need I say more? (2008 aged 14/15)

'Heated Competition' - The first recent fanfic, but still one I'm not continuing. First made on ACC, I put this here. It's the UTSE (United Towns Sporting Event) which is being hosted in Honevray, under Mayor Tortimer. We meet Josh, Bud, Pierce, Avery, Kabuki and Bella, the town residents. Soon, Celadron under Mayor Hortimer and Aquatos under Portimer arrive with their teams, and Tortimer begins to show his competitive side. However, once Endavcra under the current champion Mortimer, arrives, Tortimer goes to no end to try and win, even threatening to kick the Honevray residents out should they leave. The two also make a bet, where the winning mayor takes control of both Honevray and Endavcra. The event soon begins, and with friends Catherine, Luke and the mysterious Zoey, Josh tries to find a way out of the certain doom. (2009 aged 15/16)

'Pokemon: The Rise of Team Rocket - Promised to be incredibly epic and action-packed, it still seems cliché at first. An old man makes a prophecy to Giovanni that 8 children from Earth will arrive and destroy Team Rocket. He sends a mysterious boy called Shadow to capture the legendary birds, but just whose side is Shadow on? Best friends Joshua, Jennie, George, Molly, Tom and Anna soon find themselves in Pallet Town, and receive their starter Pokemon: Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Vulpix, Squirtle and Psyduck respectively. But they soon meet another mysterious boy, Luke, who is of similar age, with Bulbasaur. Also in Pallet Town is another best friend, Laura, who is found by Shadow, and taken away before she knows the others are here. The eight begin their adventure, meeting other children who could possibly be of the eight. Giovanni quickly sends Team Rocket to destroy them, but the children grow stronger, and Giovanni becomes desperate... Can Team Rocket stop the children before they grow too strong and destroy Team Rocket, or are they doomed? Can he even find out who the eight are? It all leads to a dramatic showdown, where tragedy awaits... (June 2009 aged 16 - November 2011 aged 18)

Completed Fanfics

'But what if animals did walk?' - Another Animal Crossing fanfic, one that again seems cliché. After catching the wrong bus, Louis finds himself dropped off in a strange town full of walking, talking animals. Can he adjust to this new life? But just as he begins to settle in, he discovers that things aren't all butterflies and flowers in this world, and a series of weird events begin to happen... This is a never-ending fanfic really, a town life one. But there will be plots, and they'll hopefully be epic. But the first 18 or so chapters are the introduction, working for Nook and so on. This is the first 'story' of the fanfic, which focusses on Louis' arrival and getting used to being with talking animals. Future 'stories' will focus more on other characters and plots. (December 2009 (aged 16) - June 2011 (Aged 17))

I am... stunned at this. BWIADW is OFFICIALLY the most popular and longest Animal Crossing fanfic on all of fanfiction.net... thank you to all my readers, reviewers... anyone who's looked and read it... This means a lot. I know Animal Crossing isn't one of the most popular sections on ff.net, but to have the most popular story of the section really does mean something.

UPDATE 22/05/2011: Okay... or not. Some other story's beaten me with words. 118,000 words or something in only 21 chapters. Not going to be beating that anytime, especially as that story's still going. xD

Pool of Blood - No plot indication yet. I randomly wrote a prologue to it, not sure where it's going. Animal Crossing horror story. (June 2011 (Aged 17) - Present aged 18)

But what if they do kill you? - Sequel to the popular 'But what if animals did walk?', BWITDKY continues the tale of life in Honevray. After Bobby's death, the mysterious animal organisation are set on getting revenge against the humans invading their world. (July 2011 (Aged 17) - Present aged 18)

Current Events:
-Goldie has returned from being kidnapped
-A new resident, Apollo, has moved in. He's secretly leader of the mysterious organisation
-Josh is struggling to cope with Jenny's death, pushing friends such as Static away, and has confided with Louis
-Tank is recent champion of the bug catching festival, defeating rivals Bones, Mitzi and Purrl
-Mystery and Laura are kinda around just doing nothing atm.

1. How about a brief introduction of yourself?

2. And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
Well, my sister introduced me to this site back in 2005... I guess I just started reading LOTR stuff and decided to try it. That and the fact I can never write a real novel, I always run out of ideas. Fanfiction is a different story (lolpun), and for some reason I have little trouble writing it. I would love to write a novel one day, maybe based on one of my fanfics with the fandom removed... but yeah.

3. What kind of fanfiction do you like to write?
Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Lord of the Rings. But I only write AC at the moment... It's not a big fandom at all, but I think the AC world gives you a lot more freedom than many others, personally. It's also easy to play twists on.

4. Do you tend to write the same pairings/characters? Or are you a fandom whore?
I... haven't made any pairings to date... except in ROTR, but that's just one so I can't really answer this. I-I will get to romance in my AC stuff eventually, though! Really have no idea how considering it's frigging animals, but yeah...

5. What is your most popular fanfic and why do you think people like it so?
'But what if animals did walk?' no question. Though I think that the sequel may surpass in review count, at least. As for why... I think it's because it plays a twist on the typical animal crossing, which I don't think has really been explored as much by anyone else. I think people like how every character is different too... I'm not sure, really. But I'm glad people like it, cause I love writing it.

6. Forget other people...what is the fanfic you've written that you're most proud of?
BWIADW. The one fanfic I've ever completed, there weren't too many plot holes or mistakes... it got an unbelievable amount (for me at least) of feedback and followers. And it's really changed and improved me as a writer, and it's something I'm not gonna be able to let go of anytime soon. P:

7. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the most difficult aspects of writing?
Both. There are times where everything just comes easily, and I can write a chapter in an hour. At other times, it feels more like a chore. Especially, oddly enough, at chapters I've already planned beforehand. Cause... how can I get everything I've imagined into words that make it as effective as I want? But yeah, the most difficult aspect is probably detailing things, I guess. I mean, I can picture everything in my head, but it's really difficult describing things enough without making it boring or un-necessary, or repetitive. Blah.

8. Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.
Okay, favourite pairing I've actually written... um... Shadow and Laura, probably. But ROTR just sucks, so I'm not gonna write about that. So, I'll write about my favourite character in BWIADW/BWITKYT. Mystery. Okay, so he doesn't have a name yet, and nobody has any reason why he's called 'Mystery'. I mean, it's gonna be introduced soon, but yeah. As for why he's my favourite, well... he's freaking awesome, that's why. Sorry if that's vain, but yeah. He's laid back, at least attempts to be funny, has those nicknames, and he took part in the most epic scene in history (the trial conclusion). Okay, so he came out of nowhere, not really anything about his past or why he's there has been revealed... and that is partly because I don't actually know, i admit. But yeah, he's cool.

9. Are there any fanfiction trends/cliches that you're sick of?
I don't really care. xD

10. Are you guilty of any of these? Or have you committed other crimes?
I dunno, really... am I?

11. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Do you continue to like/participate in it?
Lord of the Rings. I read a few things at times, but LOTR is so amazing, and no fanfic can live up to it. And all my past fanfics for that was cringeworthy, and just plain awful.

12. Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.
I don't have any most frequently written ones. So I'll just list all my OCs. Pokemon - josh, jennie, george, molly, tom, anna, laura, ryan, syd, shadow, luke, marcel, rita, carlson, annie. those are the main ones. then there's carina, katie, lolly, kerry, carly, chris and raffy.

AC - Louis, Josh, Jenny, Mystery, Laura, Bobby, Pepper, Papper. I think that's all.

13. What would you call your writing "style"?
Umm... well my writing style, I'd say, focusses more on characters and their stories. It's kinda light-hearted at most times, but serious when it needs to be. Idk... I just like writing stories with characters that people like or at least understand, or even dislike. As long as they're not seen as pointless or boring, then it's fine with me.

14. Do you read other people's fanfics? If so, what do you find yourself reading the most?
Not really much, lately. Mainly cause I don't really find the time. But I like reading animal crossing, pokemon, phoenix wright, LOST... tbh I read a bit of everything I like

15. Name one thing you'd LOVE to write but haven't yet.
A novel... :P

16. Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have a really bloated ego?
No and no. I mean, when I get criticism it's kind of a relief for me, cause at least then I know some people aren't just avoiding saying anything bad. I always worry that long-term readers are too afraid to say if they dislike something, haha... but no, unless it's actually offensive to me as a person, then criticism is welcomed.

17. When you write is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room?
Being alone is all that matters, really. Music probably doesn't help, but I listen to it anyway/

18. What inspires you?
The thought of completing the fanfic is what inspires me to keep going, and my readers. Yes, I write for my own enjoyment, but... idk. maybe it's vain, but I love getting reviews and feedback. I can't really explain it.

19. Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?
I only really stick to one fanfic at the moment, and I don't like writing too many things at once. I'm not the fastest updater, and when I do update it can often be rushed. But I enjoy writing, and... well... Idk. I should be around for a while.

Um... Someone who likes me for who I am, I suppose. I mean, I don't really look for anything as such. If I like someone, then I... well, actually, I'll probably just stand at a distance and watch them. What are the chances of someone liking me? So, that's a little cliche shy, but... that's me. But I don't really like selfish people, though I suppose Purrl's an exception as she's kinda funny to talk to. I don't want to be in a relationship with someone that only cares about themselves, that'd suck. Though to be honest, considering the only human girl is Laura and I don't know her at all, my only other options are animals. And that'd be... weird.

2. If you could go anywhere, regardless if it’s real or not, where would you go?
Home! I mean, I'm not saying I want to leave Honevray... I've kinda gotten used to being here. But... like... I wanna know how my family's doing. But I don't want to leave my friends here. I suppose my dream place would actually be my human friends and family moving to Honevray. Honevray's like... perfect. Okay, it has it's share of drama, but... It's beautiful, most people are friendly, and yeah.

3. Who is your arch nemesis?
Um... I don't really have an enemy, but... I'll have to say Tank? I mean, I've no idea if he's still angry at me after that whole Brewster's Cafe incident... hell, that was the first fight I've ever been in. But... yeah, I really don't like him.

4. What’s your AIM/MSN/etc. name?
Oh man, my MSN account's probably been hacked by now. But my username was just plain 'Louis'. I don't need some fancy quote or song lyric for my title. The only nickname I ever had was 'Lulu' from my mother, and that's embarrassing.

5. Favorite videogame?
I'm an RPG guy, and I'd have to say my favourite game series is 'The Elder Scrolls'.

6. Favorite hobby?
Gaming, of course. I know that's a nerdy thing to say, but... it's an escape from reality, right? Though I suppose Honevray is that, too. Even if it is reality.

Oh god, I dunno. I guess I always pictured my first date being at the cinema or going out for dinner. Maybe both? ..I think this was aimed at other people's stories. :P They only met once, which was when they were rescuing Officer Jenny. No I wouldn't change it.

Laugh at the fact Giovanni told her rather than one of his own followers, and then celebrate with the rest that one of their main enemies is gonna die.

That might be epic if not for the whole Laura x Anna wedding. Replace Anna with Shadow and it'd be pretty epic. But... Let's say Carlson helps Anna cause he wants to kill Luke in revenge for the whole Viridian Forest fire thing. Rita's not even old enough to drive, so they probably just stole her bike. As for the zombified minions, well... god. Anna and Carlson will work together until Anna gets trapped. Carlson abandons her, finds Luke, is killed by him. Rita suddenly arrives on the scene wanting her bike back, accidentally rescues Laura... Laura kills Luke. Rita holds Laura hostage instead, until Anna bursts in and destroys her with Psyduck.

That'd be a terrible story. No.

I'm not writing any dialogue. This is completely bizarre. Molly's supposed to be all innocent in this story, so she wouldn't be asking some older teenager to strip. As for Ryan... well, maybe Molly would play a prank like that on him. But no.

I'd definitely go with the second option. I didn't realise missing out a human in each one would affect a question. .-. I'd swap Portia for Mystery. Goldie's good with first aid and stuff.

Static, Goldie and Tank. Biggest story arc change would be Goldie, cause of the whole Kabuki loving her. Complete personality change... Tank. xD He's the type of jerk that thinks girls are weak, so.

Louis and Goldie, Mystery and Cube. Louis and Goldie for both... I am ignoring the fact Mystery and Cube are both guys, but... Mystery and Cube have never even spoken, and I just can't... picture it at all.

4. Your team is 3, 4 & 9. The mission consists of a social challenge, a mental challenge and a physical challenge. Which team member do you assign to each challenge?

Jenny, Wolfgang and Cube. Christ. Social - Cube, his safest one. Mental - Jenny. Physical - Wolfgang.

Josh becomes Louis' boss. Realistic. Josh would probably get on Louis' nerves, but he'd stick with it. The guy did give him a home, after all.

Static into Portia's continuity. I don't get it. I think it means he suddenly appears in her story? They're... all from the same story. Let's just go with Portia's parents/fossil/moving story.. erm... I suppose he might fit as the whole friend trying to convince her to stay? maybe?

Portia, Josh, Cube, Tank. Cube would be Santa, Portia and Josh the elves, and Tank... Tank can be the reindeer who stays silent the whole time.

Which of your characters have you been the nicest to (or most lenient with)?

That's a very good question. xD Of the main characters, I'd say Mystery. Josh lost his best friend, Jenny... died. Louis had his life turned upside down, and Laura was hated by everyone for a while. Mystery got shot in the hand, sure, but other than that, he's fine.

Which one have you tortured the most in your writing?

I could just say Jenny cause she got shot, but no, that's not really torturing a character. I'd say either Josh or Kabuki. (speaking of, i forgot to use kabuki for one of those memos...) I mean, Kabuki lost the one he loves, was then blackmailed into killing a friend to get her back... tried to kill Josh, then went on the run, then got accused of killing Jenny.

Are there any characters you wish you would have treated nicer? Are there any you wish you had treated worse than you did?

Jenny. Not that I treated her bad, but... I really think I should have developed her a bit more before suddenly killing her...

Are there any canon relationships you regret writing?

THis is debatable. Several are named after real people, yes. But based on...? Louis is kinda based on me. That's about it in BWIADW. Yes... Josh, Jenny and Laura are all named after real people. Josh is maybe a bit like me. Jenny's different, Laura's COMPLETELY different. In ROTR... Josh, George, Molly and Syd are most similar to RL people.

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever caught your characters doing?

...Do you mean written my characters doing? You don't catch them doing anything... you're writing... erm. I dunno... :/

Talking 'bout main characters here, I think Louis would be a good dad.
