Author has written 11 stories for Lord of the Rings, Coldfire Trilogy, Inheritance Cycle, Samurai 7, and 1984. 8/9/09 Original fiction update: My short story "Reila's Machine" is part of the forthcoming anthology of queer science fiction "Things We Are Not," from M-BRANE SF. Information on this project available here: http://mbranesf3.blogspot.com/ More information on my original fiction available here: http://www.writingforums.org/blog.php?u=3856 Anyway. About me. First, not all the stories here are mine--'Enduring Beyond the End of the World' and 'Aragorn's Adventures' are from my sister, who had originally started this account but then, regrettably, stopped writing fanfiction. If you enjoyed these stories, feel free to say so in a review and I'll tell her. Just because she doesn't write fanfic anymore doesn't mean she'd mind what she has being appreciated. Okay, that paragraph accidentaly strayed into being about my sister. Me. I'm Therese Arkenberg, student at Carroll University in Wisconsin. Not political, though I'm interested in studying law, not religious but most certainly not an atheist, either. Pro-GLBT, as you might guess, though straight and currently single. And happy that way. Aside from the occasional fanfic (usually humor lately), I also write science fiction and fantasy short stories. You can find a few of them available online. While I'm not one of those cushy 'Writing is my LIFE' types, during the summer I don't do much other than write. And read. And sometimes watch anime. And browse TV Tropes. Words of wisdom I should like to pass on to you: "The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for." - Alexander Chalmers "I can live two months on a good compliment." - Mark Twain "TV Tropes will RUIN YOU LIFE" - The site itself. | |||||||||||
