Interests: I am proud to say I am very obsessed with Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon (that's Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon for the non-Japanese/fans out there) since I was first introed to the dub back in 1996ish or so...can't remember when. Shortly after that I was introed to the marvels of fansubs and have remained a hardcore BSSM subbed/raw fan. I have also recently become an addict to the Sailor Moon Musicals (check out a cool site called DestinedCouple.com to see clips/hear songs from them). I have been obsessed with Wicked for several years now. I've seen the musical five times, the first time from the front row (I was two feet away from Idina and the other actors!). I am also obsessed with Stargate SG-1, hence the pen name. I also like Rent, Spamalot, Harry Potter, Lilo and Stitch, 101 Dalmations, CSI: LV and CSI: NY, Tales of the Wolves series by Tara K. Harper, Patricia Briggs, Bones, Final Fantasies VII, VIII, and X, Zelda games, Spider-Man, a lot more Disney stuff, various video games, X-Men, Teen Titans, and several animes (especially Trigun), Star Wars, Wheel of Time series, and a bunch of movies too numerous to name. I usually write for fun and to get the ideas out of my head and on paper. It helps to keep me semi-sane. Because being fully sane is no fun. You can't get away with stuff if you're sane...not that I've ever done anything wrong... I probably should just stop talking about this...MONKEY! (Yay for randomness and being bored!) Okay, a few things that really bug/annoy me...though it'll probably be more than a few. Here they are in subjects: First, the big one, Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon (Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon): Any and all use of solely dubbed names. BSSM is not and will never be an American thing. It was made, written, and drawn in Japanese. Though if the dubbed names are used as alternate identity because the character is in hiding, that's fine...maybe... My biggest pet peeve about BSSM: Haruka and Michiru being called cousins. They are not cousins. They are very much closer than that. Don't believe me? Take a look at the original dialogue (Neptune: I think you eat too many sweets these days. Uranus: I don't listen to that kind of talk outside of a bed.; Haruka: I'm not letting you go home tonight. Michiru: Oh my...; Neptune: They really don't need to be doing this. There are so many more fun things to do as adults. :Uranus lets out a nervous cough:...you get the idea). Mistranslation of the Senshi's attacks/transformations. The correct attacks and transformations are: Mercury: Shabon (sometimes called Bubble) Spray, Shine Aqua Illusion, Mercury Aqua Rhapsody; Mercury Power, Mercury Star Power, and Mercury Crystal Power. Venus: Crescent Beam, Venus Love Me Chain, Venus Love and Beauty Shock; Venus Power, Venus Star Power, Venus Crystal Power. Mars: Fire Soul, Burning Mandala (Not Mars Fire Surround, there's a picture of a mandala behind her for crying out loud), Mars Flame Sniper. Jupiter: Supreme Thunder, Sparkling Wide Pressure, Jupiter Oak Evolution; Jupiter Power, Jupiter Star Power, Jupiter Crystal Power. Uranus: World Shaking, Space Sword Blaster; Uranus Planet Power. Neptune: Deep Submerge, Submarine Reflection; Neptune Planet Power. Pluto: Dead Scream; Pluto Planet Power. Saturn: Silence Glaive Surprise, Silent or Silence Wall. PLEASE note that after all transformations, the Senshi yell Make UP. Also, another big thing. The three Starlights all have the same first name, Kou. The way they say it in Japanese is that they say the last name first and the first name last. So Seiya's name would be (in English) Kou Seiya. They aren't related in any way other than the fact that they're all Starlights. Stargate SG-1: Jack/Daniel pairings. Come on, Jack looks on Daniel more as a little brother. Sam/Pete: It's not that I don't like Pete it's just...no wait...it's that I don't like Pete... The whole Jam or Dam name combining thing. It's so annoying to be skimming down the page and then see that. When I see Jam or Dam, I think actual jam or a dam built by beavers. Though I'm not that big of a fan of slash, I'll read it only if it's well done...which has been rare... Harry Potter: Any and all slash that deals with Harry being combined with Snape, Dumbledore, or any other male in the series. Rowling did not write the series to be like that. What's more, there's not hints, innuendos, or anything of the kind that can lead people to that assumption. I know Dumbledore has come out of the closet but still, such a relationship with Harry is just sick and wrong. Wicked: Elphaba/Glinda pairings unless very well done (which in my opinion is quite rare) Again, name combining such as Fiyeraba and Gelphie. Gelphie just sounds like something you're trying to hack up or something and Fiyeraba sounds like a fire extinguisher brand or something. Well, that's all the stuff that annoys me that I can think of right now. Notes: Anyone who don't like my stories is fine. All I ask is that you don't flame me. I don't flame anyone; in fact I try to compliment them on the good parts of the stories. I'm not forcing anyone to read my work. It's not that I don't want to do them, it's just I haven't been too inspired to write them and some of the recent reviews I've gotten for some of my SG-1 fics has shown me that the ideas I once had for them have gone out the window...I knew I should've closed it. I may always get inspired to do more SG-1 stories, but it doesn't seem likely in the near future. Instead, I shall be focusing more on Sailor Moon fanfics.
