UPDATING EVERYTHING THAT I'VE EVER WRITTEN! ATTENTION!

I'm uploading all of the fanfictions that I've taken down from this site. Why? Hell if I know.

I've taken down so much on here I felt like I should put most of it back, even if it IS unfinished and crappy. That way, people can take a look at my work.

PM me if you want to adopt any fanfiction of mine or if you have any questions about them.

Hello!

I'm Skyline Stanza and welcome to my profile.

You're probably wondering about my pen name. It actually dosen't symbolize anything: the name just came to me.

I love to write and read stories, mostly of the fantasy/science fiction genre. I constantly have ideas running through my head and want them to be drawn or written down on paper or the screen of a computer.

I've tried my hand at fanfiction, and I still don't know what to make of it. I simply love some of the complex and interesting writing that I find in my searches on this site. The complexity and severity of some of these author's writing styles makes me...well, jealous to be completley honest. They've such a command of words that they can seemingly spin scenerio after scenerio out onto the webpage, making thier readers crave more. It utterly astounds me, but I know that it takes hard work for these people to do what they do.

Like some writers, my ideas never make it past the idea/planning stage. Why?

Writing is lot of hard work. It takes so much to decide what you want to write. You have to have time, energy, focus and dedication.

On the subject of reading fanfiction, I find it to be quite enjoyable, to say the least.

I much prefer alternative romances in fanfiction. For those of you who don't know what that would mean, I'm referring to gay/lesbian romances.

Why? you may ask?

My answer to that question is this: We see romance subplots or plots all the time in novels; it's almost become a staple in the sci-fi and fantasy genre. While I have nothing against the traditional romances in fiction, I like to see people break out of the tradional mold of writing styles of romance and put alternative couples in thier plots.

What I won't have is crack pairings, or certain characters getting together just for the hell of it and 'fracking'. The relationship has to be REAL and PLAUSABILE.

As for what I write about: Know that I don't own anything that I've written about. I only own anything original in the stories that I create. Nothing else belongs to me.

My interests:

I love the Kingdom Hearts series and I am an avid fan. Granted, I've only played the first and second games only once in my life, but I've seen what kinds of twists and turns the characters have taken on thier journies to defeat the Heartless and Nobodies.

Kingdom Hearts was the first in a great line of video games. Anyone from ages 10 to 25 can get hooked on the interesting mesh of Disney worlds, the special spells and the magical Keyblade, the interesting hero characters like Sora, Donald and Goofy and villians like Ansem and Maleficent, along with several new original worlds that flesh out the cosmology of the games even more. The plot is quite creative and interesting and even keeps some players glued to thier seat wondering what would happen next.

Kingdom Hearts II adds even more to that world, giving players new opportunities to dive into new Disney worlds like Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and let's not forget Pirates of the Carribean! The game also added greatly to the original fantasy style of the series, including a new line of enemies for Sora and co. to battle: The Nobodies, lead Organization XIII and thier sinister leader Xemnas.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is another game worth mentioning, becasue it introduces one of the driving forces that put Roxas where he is in the KH storyline: Xion. Pronounced Shii-own, This 14th member of the Organization is shorty introduced after Roxas is placed in the Organization as its 13th member. At the begining she's shy but eventually becomes friends with Roxas and Axel. Her fate in the plotline of this game is truley tragic, as you'll know doubt come to discover.

Overall, Xion has become my favorite Kingdom Hearts character.

People make judgements based on the fact that Kingdom Hearts has Disney worlds in it, but that's kind of what adds to the charm of the game itself. You take away the Disney worlds, you don't HAVE Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts, at first, seems to be for a much younger age demographic. However, with the introduction of Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, a much more complex plot was unearthed, and a much more serious tone overtook the storyline, such as matters of what it means to be whole or to be human and the concept of memories and how they tie you to others.

My Interest II:

Video Games:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect.

I love KOTOR because it gives off that aura of a true Star Wars film: Menacing fleets of Sith Warships, an evil Spacestation, the saving of a 'princess', (Heck, even a Wookiee!)...all the things that Star Wars fans have come to love in the films is placed into the Knights of the Old Republic universe, at the player's fingertips. Create a character, become a Jedi and save the galaxy or use the dark side of the Force to bend others to your will and rule the galaxy...the choice is all up to you.

Jade Empire appeals to my fantasy interests, as this game was based off of ancient China. Magic, Gods, Demons...Jade Empire has it all, even a plot to match:Your martial arts master taken away from you. Now, you must fight with sword, magic and fist to get him back and discover why the dead can seem to find peace in the afterlife.

Mass Effect: Created by the brilliant team Bioware (who also created Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire), Mass Effect is a very expanisve game, filled with plot twists, hard to make choices, likable characters and a plot that captivated me to no end. Travel across the galaxy to stop the robotic geth from taking over the galaxy by following the trail of a once good person turned inhumane...

Television Shows:

Charmed: Great family show. Shows nice girl power and nice family oriented themes throughout the series, including the bonds between siblings and family ties. Also great villains and special effects. My favorite powers would have to be: Freezing and Telekinesis/Telekinetic Orbing.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Very good show. I loved the themes about growing up and going out and living your life, also the themes about power and having friends by your side.

Now, I'm going to go off and bit a bit of a nerd, but:

Favorite Worlds visited in Kingdom Hearts

Pride Lands: I was waiting for them to include this in the series. I just about died when I learned that it would appear in Kingdom Hearts II. (I also died when I saw Sora's lion form. I just about screamed...and I say this with every ounce of manliness in my body.)

Land of the Dragons: Hey, you've got to love Mulan. She's a girl who knows how to kick butt.

Favorite allies in Kingdom Hearts

Simba: Hey, this was a given. I've loved the Lion King since I was tiny.

Jack Sparrow: What's not to love about Jack Sparrow?

Favorite 'non combat music' of Kingdom Hearts

Xion's theme: My goodness...if there EVER was one theme that would bring a tear to your eye, its this theme right here. Yoko Shimura has outdone herself

Land of the Dragons: Who dosen't love oriental themed music?

World that Never Was: So ominous and spooky. Sends shivers down your spine.

Missing You: A real tear-jerking theme.

Dive to the Heart: A given in the Kingdom Hearts series. You can't have a game without the main character's Dive to the Heart.

Organization XIII: Again, a really ominous and spooky theme. Very haunting.

Favorite Combat music of Kingdom Hearts

Xion's Final Battle theme: Again, this theme is both magnificent and saddening at the same time, if you take it into context with the plot of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Fields of Honor: Music for the Land of Dragons. Again, who doesn't love good oriental music?

The Encounter: An invigorating tune to hear when fighting a Boss.

He's a Pirate: The title is a dead give away. I love Pirates of the Carribean, so this music has to be on my list.

Desire for all that is Lost: It's a nice tune.

Sinister Sundown: The first combat theme you ever hear. It certainly stuck in my head!

Dissapeared: Last Boss music you'd hear in the game. This one also leaves an impression in the mind.

Unlike some authors, I don't have a specific list of romantic couples that I happen to like.

Instead, my tastes branch outside my interests as well as in them.

As such, I've come to enjoy the works of WarlordFil, specifcally the Cross Blades and Twin Blades in the Halo section. Such emotion in these stories, such a spell it wove around me. I was utterly captivated by these stories, by the trails and triumphs that the characters had to undertake and the characterization that the author wove into the story. But be warned: these stories are rated M for Mature and contain language and descriptions of situations that might offend some readers. Do no read if you do not approve of such material.

Another story that I've come to enjoy is a Mass Effect story entitled Proffessional Silence by RedFirelight for those very same reasons above. It captivated me,as all good stories should and the trials and hardship of those characters kept me reading. Again, the following story contains a same-sex pairing that some might find offensive. (No, it is not Liara and a female Commander Shepard.)

Constellations, along with it's sequel Vein of Memory by kosmokomik are a two other Mass Effect stories I loved reading. Set from Liara's point of view as she falls in love with a slightly Renegade female Shepard, Constellations is quite a work of fiction, with insight to Liara's thoughts, her perspecitive and her role in Shepard's life. Vein of Memory has just started, with only one chapter updated as of now. Instead of Liara's point of view, we receive Shepards for quite an interesting twist in POV (point of view).
