Author has written 13 stories for Ranma, Anime X-overs, Mechwarrior/Battletech, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, Dragon Ball Z, Teen Titans, and Star Wars. As to who I am, well that... is a secret!

BobCat's off-site (i.e., not on fanfiction.net) fanfiction choices:
Robert Morrison's Neon Genesis Evanjellydonut: A great parody of (you guessed it) Saint Tail! Nah, seriously, one of the best Neon Genesis Evangelion fics out there. Much like the Ballad, it began as utter ludicrousness, but developed a plot somewhere along the way. Although the fic hasn't been updated in a couple of years, what's there is absolutely hilarious. BobCat's rating: 4 out of 5 stars!

Benjamin A. Oliver's Nuke 'Em Til They Glow!! A silly Sailor Moon fic that provided the inspiration for Carrotglace's "Inserstion." As I got the insiration to do the Ballad of the Physics Police from "Insertion," I guess it could be considered the Ballad's crazy Grandpa. Or maybe not. Still updated on occasion, with many great sidestories and one "April Fools Day" prank omake that actually made it into the fic. BobCat's rating: 5 out of 5 stars!

On site fanfiction picks:
Anon Ymous' "Toy Factory." This is an approved parody of the Ballad of the Physics Police. The only problems are that Anon is rather... different in his worldview. In other words, he can get too silly at times. Also, the chapters are a bit too short. But overall, worth spending a couple minutes reading. BobCat's rating: 3 out of 5.

DB Sommers' Avenging: A Ranma 1/2 fusion with Marvel's Avengers. Unlike most Ranma Fusions, Ranma is NOT the most powerful person on the team, a refreshing change in my opinion. A bit long (it has taken them eleven chapters just to found the team!), but hillarious, especially for those of us who still think that comics are cool. BobCat's rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Webcomic of the hour:
Bob and George

Rating: PG
Score: 5 out of 5
A twisted and highly amusing look at Megaman, a must for all people with active funny bones. To summarize it would ruin it, but you'll recognize many gags from webcomics and fanfiction. In fact, it's the basis for all video game sprite comics.
Wanted...
Are there any aspiring artists out there who have the skills to draw a good webcomic but just can't come up with a good plot?
What, really?
There has to be at least one, right?
Well, if you do exist, drop me a line and e-mail me some sample art. Anime-esque style would be preferred. |
