Yeah, so I saw a bunch of you guys all had one...figured I should too. I'm 22 and a student at New York University...my major is Journalism and Dramatic Literature, but my true passion is acting and writing, so it's what I really want to do, but I hope to pursue Entertainment Journalism after graduation until I get my break. Um...let's see...obviously I'm a Charmed fan. Piper and Prue are my favorite girls...absolutely detest Phoebe and Alyssa Milano, but I did tolerate her with Cole. I have liked all the main guys on Charmed...and by that I mean Andy, Dan (the actor, not that the character was with Piper,) Leo, and Cole. I hate the character of Chris and think the actor sucked when compared to how great the girls are (even though I'm not really an Alyssa fan, I still admit she's a decent actress until it comes to emotional scenes, which she is horrible at). I've been lucky enough to meet all my Charmed favorites so far except for Brian Krause. I met Ted King (Andy) and Greg Vaughan (Dan) through soap opera events; I love both of them, they are so sweet and great huggers! I met Holly here in New York on Sept. 19, 2005 after her interview on the Tony Danza show. She is so so so sweet and amazing. Seriously, one of my dreams come true. I met Julian here in New York on Sept. 21, 2005 before his interview on Regis and Kelly...let me just say the man is absolutely stunningly sexy in person and is very charming and suave and knows how to please the ladies. He's one hell of a hugger too and smells so great! Met Shannen in New York on November 3, 2005, and she is just as nice and sweet as Holly is, so definitely don't believe the crap you read about her in the press. Met Alyssa on two occasions and she is one diva b!tch!
Um...other favorites...well...that's a lot. As far as shows still currently filming new episodes: CSI NY, Law and Order SVU, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Women's Murder Club, Blood Ties (assuming Lifetime picks up another season) and American Idol. I like the ABC soaps as well (All My Children, One Life ti Live, and General Hospital) but I'm boycotting them due to crappy storylines...although since the real Greenlee is returning in January as well as some old time favorites (including Debbi Morgan, who Charmed fans know as the Seer) so I may start watching again. My favorite show that is only in syndication now is Charmed, but I also really like Gilmore Girls, X-Files, JAG, Friends, Alias, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Who's the Boss, Reba, Providence, and Judging Amy. As far as majorly classic and before my time shows I still like, they include Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, MASH, The Munsters, and I Love Lucy. I think that's all the TV shows. As for music...I like pretty much anything except rap. I love Gretchen Wilson and Faith Hill...Rob Thomas...Tim McGraw...I'm a huge, huge, huge Carrie Underwood fan. She's one of the best female singers out there currently. Reba, James Blunt, Nickleback, Lifehouse, Goo Goo Dolls, Heart...I told you it's a pretty varied music selection. I'm pretty much one of those people who follows songs more than artists, but those listed I have yet to hear something of their's that I didn't like, so...yeah. I love writing and acting...I guess that's pretty much it.
Hope you guys like my stories...I know, I haven't written in forever. Honestly until recently I lacked inspiration. That combined with a serious lack of time...well you get the picture. I have to go back and reread my stuff first to see where exactly I'm at. Then I'll do one of three things: I'll leave them as is and just add to them, I'll rewrite them a little better, or I'll scrap them and start totally from scratch. I do tend to write more on the mature side...most, if not all, of my stories will most likely have that rating. I'm 22, I'm an adult, I live in NYC a majority of the year...I don't do kiddie stories, sorry. If you think that makes me sound arrogant in any way, I do apologize. I'm not trying to come off as that, but let's face it...sex is a part of life, it's in virtually everything on TV except for Disney and PBS...and sometimes there is serious angst and dark places in life. Now unless I decide to write a Law and Order fic, I'm not going to have a bunch of gory and graphic death scenes...but unless you're 16 or so, you probably won't enjoy my more mature writing, as I strive for no grammatical errors, it is long and detailed, and it doesn't consist of instant messaging shorthand. I do strive to keep my characters in character, I don't do crazy and outlandish things that you would never see on a show (not to say I don't do AU stories, because I can do that, but I'm not going to have something totally out of this world in there, either). I do think out of the box with my stories on occasion, but I never completely leave the ballpark with them. For me it's about writing a story that the fan who is reading can actually believe would happen on the show or that the character would do if placed in a different reality. So in a story sticking strictly withing the confines of the TV show Charmed, I'm not going to write in all four Charmed girls without one hell of a good explanation as to why there is suddenly a power of four instead of a power of three.
So that's a bit about me and how I write...feel free to leave me a note or a review or whatever. I hope you enjoy your time here in the world of fanfiction.
