Airwolf: Snapshots which is going to be a series of short stories.

Still working on completing the epic Sam/Jack story I'm writing. I also planning on starting Aftershocks vol.3 in the next few weeks.

The worst thing about a profile is that invariably as an aspiring author you want to write something witty or relatively interesting but instead you get personal ad syndrome and start admitting you're a Gemini who loves cats...which I am. I'm also hopelessly addicted to cult TV shows which in the normal world usually has people wincing but given I'm on a fanfic site I'm hoping I'm in friendly territory with other addicts and can finally admit it without fear of someone saying 'so do you dress up to go to the conventions?'

Of course it doesn't automatically follow that being addicted to TV shows means that you want to write about them but in my case that's true and I thought I'd spend my profile providing a bit of an explanation why...

For me it's always been about the characters; TV shows excel when they give you interesting characters, ones where you actually care about what happens to them and their relationships with each other. I can quickly lose faith in a show if a character does something that doesn't jibe with their established personality, likes/dislikes, etc.or relationships are taken in a direction that just seems wrong (Star Trek has so many examples but my favourite is the Troi/Worf romance in TNG - what were they thinking!) I find myself often deriding finales of TV shows because they failed to deliver a satisfying ending for the characters even though the main story arc may have been resolved - and of course, some TV shows just get cancelled too quickly to have any kind of resolution. I've spent years thinking up endings to TV shows, rewriting episodes in my head, coming up with new storylines, spent hours debating with friends over various twists and turns and eventually I began to write them down.

Fan fiction is great because it gives an opportunity for people like me to write or rewrite a TV show into what we really wanted (or want) to see on screen but that comes with a health warning...and I'm not talking about the copyright stuff. I primarily write stories for me. I hope others like what I do with the characters and their relationships, maybe even find what they want to happen expressed in the plots (and I admit upfront that I'm a romantic), but I'm not blind to the fact that just as the TV shows can seem to get it wrong,so too can a Fanfiction author. What might seem obvious and right for the character to one fan, can seem obtuse and bizarre to others. I'm certain there's some Trekkers looking at my comment about Troi/Worf and gesturing at their monitors even now...

Anyway, if you agree with my stories or don't, whether you're a fellow writer or simply a reader, please provide a review or get in touch. I'm always up for a debate and I hope you enjoy them either way.
