Author has written 2 stories for Legend of Zelda, and Teen Titans. Hey all, I'm ThetaGraphics, (aka Theta-Alpha-One, a long time ago) There's not too much to say about me other than the fact that I am a graphic artist. I primarily work in 3D. This is the address to my gallery if anyone is interested... http://www.thetagraphics.com I have several stories underway, though only two are completed and posted. My first being Legend of Zelda: Rise of the Stalfos. The chapters in it are woefully short (they make me cringe...), though the story has gotten pretty good reviews...(just try to make it past the first couple chapters...lol ) Don't worry, my current stories have much longer chapters. ;-) The second is a Teen Titans AU oneshot that depicts our heroes on the other side of the law. Opinion on Updates: I don't like posting stories before I complete them because there is the danger of encountering severe writer's block and thus never finishing the story. Unfortunately, Writer's block strikes often and stalls posting even more... I personally hate it when I read a really good story that suddenly cuts off, and the author hasn't updated since '02. :-( Opinion on OC's (Original Characters): I don't mind minor OCs or OC villains, (I actually prefer OC villains, because it puts the protagonists into a brand new situation. I also like Crossovers for the same reason as long as they are written well.) However, taking your OC and suddenly making them the main character's best friend doesn't work for me...especially if its done without reasonable explaination. Opinion on Slash: There is one thing that I universally hate in terms of pairings, and that is yaoi (male slash)... (~shudder~). No offense intended toward those who do like it, just know that I will never write nor read it. I don't particularly mind femslash (yuri) if and only if the characters are already oriented that way in the canon source. (Such as the heavily implied KonoSetsu in Negima)...still won't read yaoi though... ~shudder~ Favorite Pairings (and occasional rants): Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Windwaker Twilight Princess (+) Link and Saria. I find the circumstances about this pairing to be somewhat amusing, not to mention a creative challenge. Some people take one look at this pairing and immediately write it off as pedophilia. The ironic thing is that Saria is usually depicted as being older than Link, despite the fact that she is the 'child' in the relationship. You could also take into account that OoT Link is actually a ten-year old trapped in a seventeen year old body. So, mentally, the relationship is opposite from the physical. A rather amusing irony if I may say so. Now that doesn't mean I necessarily approve of just tossing the two of them together as they are. Obviously, the societies they live in would not approve. Therefore, something usually needs to be done to change the rules as it were. I've seen several stories about Saria growing up—some with more credible reasons than others... As long as the age/race barrier is credibly removed, I personally like this pairing better than Link/Zelda. I guess I have a thing for lifelong best friends of the opposite gender being good matches. (Of course, considering that I have no lifelong best friends of the opposite gender, I honestly wouldn't know) :-/ Zelda pairing that I absolutely loathe: Link/Male Sheik... Okay... When it comes to yaoi slash, I tend to just avoid and forget, but this pairing really irritates me... Sheik is a GIRL for crying out loud! (She's Zelda in disguise after all, sorry about the minor OoT spoiler, but I imagine this is pretty much common knowledge by now...especially since Smash Brothers Melee) I don't mind Sheik being a separate male character in Modern AUs, as long as he isn't paired up with Link, (or any other male for that matter) Teen Titans Robin/Starfire – So canon it isn’t funny… BB/Raven – Opposites in personality, yet they actually have many things in common. Both have dark pasts, and both have been betrayed by people they trusted (Terra and Malchior of course.) I find the story dynamics about these two to be very interesting, given the characters aren’t too OOC… Cyborg/Jinx – With the exception of Sarasim (she’s long gone by now anyway), Jinx is the only girl Cyborg has had any romantic feelings for (I'm only taking the cartoon-verse into consideration here, never read the comics). Bumblebee and Cyborg aren’t ever more than friends. (Bee herself even confirms his crush on Jinx) – Yes, I have seen Lightspeed, but there is just something about Kid Flash that just irks me… -_- Anyhow, the hero/villain dynamic of this pairing can be pretty interesting… Harry Potter Harry/Hermione + Alt. - Harry/Tonks; Harry/Luna (+) Yeah, I know this isn't canon with the books since #6, but I still think it makes the most sense. Hermione is pretty much the only girl who doesn't see Harry as 'The-Boy-Who-Lived', a title he has hated through the entire series...and then he goes off and marries the biggest fan girl of them all... Doesn't really make much sense to me. Why don't I care much for Ron/Hermione? Some think that if they bicker they must be soul mates, but I don't think so... Married couples who are portrayed as bickering all the time, have usually been married for several decades. If they are bickering that much before they are even going out, there's no way that relationship is going to work. (In my opinion, though that might not mean much.) That being said though, I don't really mind this as a secondary pairing if Harry is paired up with someone else... As for the Ron/Luna thing, I got that through Portkey... I've seen some pretty good stories with that pairing, so I'm fine with it. I also like Harry/Tonks or Harry/Luna if written well... Kim Possible Kim/Ron – Again, life-long best friends. (and Canon!) Stargate SG-1 Sam/Jack Halo Chief/Cortana Animes Trigun Vash/Meryl Ghost Hunt Mai/Naru Fullmetal Alchemist Ed/Winry One Piece Luffy/Nami Bleach Ichigo/Rukia or Ichigo/Tatsuki Negima Negi/Nodoka Okay, enough ranting about pairings like some demented fanboy... (Sorry 'bout that. ~shudder~) Let's move on to my story concepts, shall we? ;-) Completed Stories... Legend of Zelda: Rise of the Stalfos Currently under revision... Teen Titans: Sixty Minutes (Oneshot) Stories in Progress... Legend of Zelda Legend of Zelda: Rise of the Stalfos II - Triforce Phantom Overview: For those of you who wanted a sequel to Rise of the Stalfos, here it is... Fifteen years after the defeat of the Stal-King and General Stalakor, Sir Link and Queen Zelda are happily married with a fourteen year old daughter, the beautiful Princess Alexis. When their daughter begins having dreams of fifteen year old battles and disturbing images of death, Link and Zelda have reason to fear, for Stalakor is back, revived by the Phantom Triforce, a copy of the true Triforce, which was thought to have been destroyed fifteen years ago... I have most of the plot drafted and it looks to be an excellent adventure (chapters are much longer than in Stalfos I), now I just need to get past chapter four... Legend of Zelda: Split Destiny Overview: Six months before the events of Ocarina of Time, Link and Saria undergo an ancient Kokiri ritual called the Bonding Ceremony. This ceremony magically strengthens the bond of friendship and grants certain mental powers (such as telepathy and shared knowledge) between the Bonded, at the cost of being unable to separate too distantly lest the bond breaks. If the bond does break, it feels as though their souls are being torn apart, and thus they would lose the will to live if the bond is not restored in time. (That's the general idea at least...) Obviously, because of the bond, Saria would need to accompany Link on his quest. What differences will occur because of this? (Hence the AU) I am currently in the middle of the third chapter of this--and it already has over 15,000 words. ;-) -- As the story outline predicts 14 chapters plus the prologue, I'm hoping it will break 100,000 words. Of course, because of that, it'll be a while before I begin posting it. (Plus the fact that I have had writer's block isn't helping...) Legend of Zelda: Way of the Badge Overview: Pretty much as it sounds. Detectives Link and Saria are police partners investigating a murder. This story will feature an 'All Star' cast, (meaning all the characters are going to be canon--in other words, no OC's.) All the characters will be from the games one way or another. This story looks to be fairly short, about seven chapters long. So far I’m up to Ch. 2…and going nowhere... Hyrule University Obviously, this is another All-Star cast, on a larger scale, (though I'm slipping in one OC: Stalakor, who is featured in Rise of the Stalfos. He's the Stalfos General). Everyone, students and instructors, will be based in the games. I have a bit written on this, but its plot hasn't been fully outlined, so I have no idea how long it’s going to be. (Pretty long, I hope) Legend of Zelda: Silent Cry Overview: After Link has been exiled from the forest as he has become too old, Saria becomes desperate and makes a deal with a witch to turn her into a Hylian. As part of the deal, she loses her voice and must find Link and win his heart within a week. In retrospect, several plot aspects of this are rather similar to Disney’s Little Mermaid, but it won’t be the same story. This story still hasn’t left the drafting board yet… Legend of Zelda: Wrath of Majora Overview: An AU of Majora’s Mask that explores the ‘What if’ of Saria accompanying Link as he searches for Navi in the Lost Woods. They encounter the Skull Kid and the rest is (altered) history. (This was originally going to be a sequel to Split Destiny, but I think it will be more interesting coming from the canon OoT.) Teen Titans Teen Titans: Legion of Terror Overview: After Raven is abducted by an unknown villain during a mission, the Titans desperately search for her. Unfortunately, after a year-long search, they find no trace of her. However, on the day that Robin decides to call off the search, Raven appears at the front door of the Tower, barely alive… I currently have 17 pages down for this and still going strong…WHAM! Damn writer's block... Teen Titans: Moebius (Tentative Title) Overview: Similar to the movie "Groundhog's Day", though with a bit darker theme. After Raven is killed by a villain, a depressed Beast Boy goes to bed, only to wake up the previous morning. Can he save Raven, or is he doomed to watch her die again and again for eternity? Teen Titans: Quantum Leap (Tentative Title) Overview: While battling a time villain, the Titans get sucked into a vortex and are pulled through different times in history, and later alternate dimensions. Harry Potter Harry Potter and the One Ring Overview: Harry Potter / Lord of the Rings crossover. Set some ten thousand years after LotR, Voldemort's Death Eaters discover a Palantir at a dig. The Dark Lord forms an alliance with the spirit trapped within, who is none other than the diminished soul of Sauron. With their combined power, the One Ring is reforged once again... I have some interesting ideas for this story, but it is still in early drafting stages. Canon through Book 6... Harry Potter and the Metamorph (Seven Book Series?) Overview: About six months before Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter runs into an orphaned girl while running from Dudley's gang. Through the girl, who can change her appearance at will, he is introduced to the World of Magic. Tonks is Harry's age in this, (therefore AU, how will her presence change the outcome of Harry's life?). Inspired by Regulus' excellent R-Series, but it won't be the same story. Considering my difficulties with Writer's block, I'm not sure if I would be able to get through seven books... Harry Potter and the New Dark Lord (Tentative Title?) Overview: After the defeat of Voldemort, another Dark Lord appears, one even more ruthless than the soulless He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. OC Villian. Not much is developed for the plot, but its fun coming up with the lovely spells for this guy to use... >:-) (Yes, I'm a bit of a sadist at times...just read Stalfos and you'll see what I mean. But hey, all writers should be sadists to a degree...) Trigun Angel's Halo (Tentative Title?) (Halo Crossover) Overview: The Covenant arrive at Gunsmoke, looking for Forerunner artifacts (unknowingly detecting Reclaimers rather than actual artifacts) Eventually the conflict leads the Trigun gang to Halo, where Vash must find a way to save the lives of not only every human on Gunsmoke, but every living thing in the galaxy. This will be AU on the Halo side of things, (sorry, since Earth is gone, no Spartans) as it depicts the Covenant at a slightly earlier time than the Halo Games. While I prefer Milly/Wolfwood, the story will be after the anime and I would need a way to bring Wolfwood back believably...the divine intervention thing that seems to be popular is too overused and uncreative...I need to know how! Other stories I certainly have a lot more stories partially planned, but it would be pointless to post them all up here, as most of the concepts will likely be abandoned due to my cursed affliction of Writer's Block... | |||||||||
