Hi, I'm daemonfamiliar. I am a college sophomore and I write mainly Harry Potter fanfics, though I do have a Rurouni Kenshin one thrown in there as well. I also have a livejournal page at http://daemon-familiar.livejournal.com/ where I am in the process of posting most of these stories.
Now, I have never understood why some authors list their stories and the summaries up here when there listed just below, but I'm going to list them and give you a little author's insight on each that you just can't fit in the summaries.
Hunting Season-- Very random one-shot in which James (in animagus form) meets a hunter and hilarity ensues.
The Thing About Aoshi-- My Rurouni Kenshin one-shot explaining why Misao loves Aoshi even though he seems so cold and distant.
The Heart of the Phoenix-- A Harry/Draco fanfiction. Harry finds out Dumbledore has been hiding something from him and finds out that he's in love with Draco Malfoy all in the same week. Nothing's ever easy for Harry, is it?
Real Friends Don't Care-- A fluffy Fred/George one-shot. George takes Fred out to dinner, Fred has a bad case of oh-my-God-what-if-someone-finds-out, and has a lot of flashbacks to how their relationship began. Harry saves the day, of course.
Incubus Anxieties-- Draco finds out on his eighteenth birthday that he is an incubus. Unfortunately, Harry doesn't get the courage to tell Draco that he wants something more than friendship with the Slytherin until after he comes into his powers. Now Harry has to convince Draco that his feelings are his own--not the cause of Draco's new Allure--in time to save Draco from himself. It's more humorous than angsty, despite how it might sound.
Incubus Drabbles--Drabbles that take place after (and a few before, just to be confusing) the end of Incubus Anxieties. The first one is the fall of Voldemort.

Checkmate, by Naadi Moonfeather, is on Fanfiction.net. It takes first place because it was the story that dragged me kicking and screaming into the Harry/Draco universe and made it my One True Pairing. It is still the best I've read, by far.
