Email me through jynxsbox(at)gmail(dot)com Tips for fellow authors as an avid reader: Summaries are very important, do not underestimate the power of a well planned and thought out summary! Tip 1: DO NOT write 'i suck at summaries lol' at any point in your summary, or 'better thn it sounds, i promis!' for that matter. Just by writing that you are letting the readers know that you suck at summaries and thus probably at storytelling and grammar. Tip 2: Spell check . . . By God in heaven please remember that the summary box does not have spell check and that as a human being you will make mistakes. Prewrite your summary in Word or something. And use proper capitalization. Tip 3: Keep your target audience in mind. Think of the summary as the back of your Internet novel. People read it and the title before they go anywhere near the first chapter so reeling them in with the kind of story they want to read is a must. Remember that someone looking for a good romance story or angsty type drabble will not want to read something that gives away the ENTIRE plot in the summary. Tease them with a hint of what awaits. Tip 4: Choose your title carefully, and format the title in an appropriate book format. Certain words need capitalization, others don't. (Hiei walks up to tell of Jynx) Hiei: She's 19, lives in Texas, and is completely nuts. What else is there to say? (Turns around to watch her beat up Kurama.) Jynx: Sorry for the fact that I don't have many story/poem thingies. If I get feedback on the stories I do have I'll start more chapters! Hiei: Your stories stink worse than kuwabaka's gym socks Jynx: (screeches) Get back in your cage Hiei! Hiei: (low growl) MAKE ME! (Jynx chases Hiei/black blur around cages) Zelgadis: That'll keep her distracted for a while. Lina: (grabs handfulls of hair) For crying out loud! (points to the left) Let's regroup at the nearest inn! Amelia: Are you alright, Mr. Zelgadis? Zelgadis: (hauls up a sleeping Gourry) Just FINE! Jynx: (foaming at the mouth, swipes at Hiei) GOTCHA (misses) (InuYasha also snoozing in cage, Kagome "sits" him to wake him up) Kagome: We're never gonna get out of here if you don't get up! InuYasha: (snore, toe twitch) Kagome: SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! (crash) Jynx: (snarls and swipes again) YOU! (misses) Xellos: (cheeky grin) Oh, dear.
