Hey...friends?

Ok...I'll just start talking about myself.

I've deleted my previous stories, I was looking through them one day and then I started scratching my head. I was thinking...'this is so weird, did I really write this?' You know the feeling you get when you write something, and at the time it sounds so good but leave it for a while (a few years) and you come back to it and it's like "WTF?" There was no coherent thought process and I got confused reading my own stories...that is just so...sad.

I also think about alot plots for stories, some of them are really original too but I can never be bothered to get off my lazy arse and write a damn about them. So if you're interested in getting some ideas from me, go ahead and message me. My ideas are gathering cobwebs, seriously. If you want me to read your stories and review, I'd be happy to as well.

Well, I guess I'll talk about what I prefer in a story.

-Stories that go at a reasonable pace. It's really strange when 2 characters hate eachother and then suddenly change their minds overnight and decide they're lovers the next day. Or stories that have this really weak character that can't do anything at all and then suddenly there's a change overnight and they become this all-powerful being the next day. When I read those kinds of stories I think, 'Did I miss something?'

-Guys should act like guys. It's really puke worthy when I read a story where this guy goes overly sentimental, it's a...girl thing. People, dudes don't cry every 2 seconds, if you want to write about a really weepy guy you might as well change it into a het fic, it's humiliating to read about a guy crying so much. Or if you want to write about a sentimental guy; tone down the tears and add some thought process or action, 'cause that's how we vent.

-I don't mind OOCness as long as the character has a strong personality that's consistent throughout the fanfiction. Sudden personality changes can really get on one's nerves.

-Overangsting is retarded. By that I don't mean you shouldn't have any angst in your narrative but when the whole story revolves around it, it kinda gets boring. There should always be a balance. Yin and Yang, man...too much art concepts of balance being drilled in my head.

-Love stories that get to the point. Some stories (like Dracula, I couldn't get past the first chapter, but it must be good somehow, considering its fame) have paragraphs longer than eternity and seem to drone on and on and on and on and on, etc. It's times like those that you wish they could stop with the overly descriptive language that's just passing over our heads. I think a description should be vivid yet to the point, using the least amount of words to develop the mood and tone.

-I hate cliches. I love irony.

(Prince of Tennis) Sanada&Atobe
