Hey. IRL, I live in Canada, i'm 25, I have quit a job I despise and am trying to return to something I hate even more - the public education system. I am still writing fanfiction mainly as practice, but my muse has become a little more defined and you might see some original fiction of mine on other sites soon.
My thoughts
On me
Don't wanna talk about it. Too depressing.
and my stories
Healer: Odd pairing, abrupt ending, still a long way away before I can put the kind of feeling I wanted into words. :(
Unexpected Directions: My very first. Not completely happy with this, but much better than I thought I was capable of. Way back when, thought of writing a chapter to illustrate the obsessive, 'we must complete the mission whatever it takes!' side of Robin somewhere in around chapters 8 - 10, but never got to it. I think there's a kind of too-quick leap as a result between Raven's confession and Starfire's decision because I couldn't write that well back then.
Reluctant monsters: Yeah, I forced the romantic pairing bit. Granted, the pairing was the whole inspiration for the fic, but I shouldn't have crammed it in there, maybe just let this story help set up the pairing in the next fic. Otherwise, I like it.
Matchmaker: I like the first and last chap, but I will eventually re-write the stuff inbetween. I really hurried them together this time around, and i want to change that to a more realistic progression of their relationship.
For our own sakes: This, unfortunately, also suffers from hurried romantic acceptance syndrome, though it's not as much as a pronounced case as Matchmaker. This story was, I confess, my way of jumping on the Kigo bandwagon, a fave pairing of mine, and done when I really didn't understand some aspects of writing. I feel I did too many things wrong with this, and barring divine inspiration, It is effectively discontinued.
A simple mission. Fumbled this somehow, doesn't have that 'you-know-what' feeling, might re-write or take it down entirely.
Stories planned:
A Warhammer 40k self-insert. The more I think about this, the more I want to do this. I realize no one will actually read the story, of course, but still...
I have a rough idea for the sequel to Unexpected Directions! Expect to see it once the current batch of my stories are completed.
This...EVIL, WONDERFUL girl is the one who hooked me on Starfire/Raven and Kigo in the first place after 5 minutes of looking at her art. Had to include a mention. Worship the Kigo fanart goddess and despair, mortals. Http://rinacat.deviantart.com
