1/11/07 UPDATE ----
Okay, people wanted an update, so here goes.
I am still writing, but I have strayed pretty far from fanfiction in the past few months. In June I will be going away to college and majoring in journalism, so almost all writing I have been doing is just that... journalistic, factual, investigative reporting. Pretty boring compared the whirlwind romances of Hermione and Draco, and I will admit that I may be losing my touch with them, not that I ever had it necessarily. I suppose for that reason, I should say that I am losing my motivation.
Over the New Year (which I hope was fantastic for all of you, by the way) I took two weeks off of work, and in correlation with the time I had off from school, was able to sit down and play around with a little plot bunny that has been hopping around in my head since December. In case you are curious, it is a HG/DM one shot, nearly done, and to be posted not here, but on a different site upon completion.
I think the time has come to officially announce It Isn't Love Unless It Hurts as abandoned. I don't see myself every getting back into that fic, mostly because I started it during a time when I was unhappy, resentful and stressed (not to mention most likely on my womanly monthly cycle) and I have moved on from that stage in my life. I am my old self again, happy, chipper, and excited to start a new chapter in my life by moving out and into the real world. Angst is not a genre that will flow easily from me anymore.
I can only thank the readers who have been so supportive of me through my almost year-long hiatus. I did not expect to have any readers to come back to, yet there you all are... waiting patiently. I am very grateful for ever word of encouragement I have received, and there were times when I couldn't write for myself, so I wrote for my readers, and it kept me trudging along.
One final note before I go, Ruby Red Sunshine asked that I post my response to her message here, so Ruby: Thank you for the kind message, I appreciate that you took the time to write me. In a matter of speaking, I am staying, but I am not staying here. My stories will remain on this site, though they will not be updated. Don't think you are missing out on anything however, because they are not being updated anywhere else either. I am starting fresh. New stories, and maybe the continuation of When the Rain Comes, but I haven't given a whole lot of thought to it yet.
