Stepping Stones is currently going through a rewrite. I decided to integrate all the recapitulations (which were basically the same story told in a different point of view, as well as scenes that were purposely left out.)

I decided to do this because, well, frankly...I think it complicated the story too much.

As a bonus, I'll be adding some bonus material at the end of the chapters.

16th January-- Things are going slowly at the moment. Thought I'd give you a glimmer of what I've been doing. So for, I've made a version for just about every team I could think of. I have one version where Ranma first meets up with team 7 up their return from wave country. I kinda liked that version, but it didn't work if I wanted Ranma to be in the Chuunin exams. I tried to bypass this by having Ranma meet up with team 7 during the chuunin exams in the forest of death. Didn't turn out quite so well. I had a different scenario for every other team, including Minato's genin team which, though interesting, was a bit of a waste of time. You'll find out which team finds Ranma soon (i hope...)

Another problem I have been working on is deciding how to incorporate Ranma into a team. I'll tell you this, he's not in any of the canon teams in the beginning. He might work with various teams later, but I made up a team for him, who lost their third rather recently, which will have an affect on how Ranma will interact with them. His Jounin is going to be a bit of a scumbag, though. I have changed his genin team mates a lot of times though. Personality wise, age, relationship dynamics to each other; they have been just about everything to family members, to holes to each other to lovers.

Another thing I have been working on have been team missions. So far, I have 3 D-ranked missions worked out, and 2 C-class missions. There will also be a reoccurring bad guy- still working on his profile though.

I have, so far, have up to Itachi's first appearance mapped out, I have absolutely nothing done on the chuunin exam yet though, and I'm still mentally debating on Ranma's run in with Team 7, which will have an effect on how the chuunin exam turns out.

One of the toughest things I have right now is coming up with names-- I might just end up stealing names from someone though... either from some manga or someone's fanfiction. I have their profiles done though. The outline is, well still incomplete-- i have parts finished for about 5 chapters so far, but none really completed. The fic might be going through a name change, but so far the end has not changed since I started. There is going to be a sequel. If the end is not really the ending then there's going to be a spin-off. Most likely, the current version is going to be deleted, and the new version will be placed in the anime x-over section.

29 Novembre-- lost count on how many revisions I've gone through-- therefore, I've decided to stop calling it revisions... I am now reworking the fiction Stepping Stones. There might be a name change, and the catagory will be moved to anime crossovers when i finally manage to post something.

27 February-- as per request from Yanslana, every other chapter I will be posting one of my alternate beginnings instead of what I was planning on putting in as an omake.

25 March-- wasn't planning on posting the story yet, haven't heard from my betas in about a month-- but.. here ya go...

28 April-- Will start writing again next week... been plotting on recycling original version of stepping stones for another story

17 May-- bah-- thought I'd have time to start writing the next chapter already-- life can be so cruel -_-

27 May -- I should perhaps should have mentioned this earlier... but I'm in a middle of a certification course, so don't really expect much until July. Oh yeah... sign up for Billy and Snake man and join my village

24 July -- Certification course is almost over! Testing is next week-- probably be drunk until next Friday! So i'll start writing again real soon.

A note regarding A Human Saiyajin:

I have been asked numerous times if I am ever planning on continuing A Human Saiyajin. The truth is, I really would like to see this story finished, and put to rest. However, I must admit, my knowledge of Dragonball is rather limited, and I don't really like it enough to actually read it. The story has always been a two man project, each of us having contrary view points on where the story should go. Every chapter, there was a fight or argument on the artistic integrity of each of it's creators, and because of that, it has tempered the story to what it is now.

I do not think I can achieve it's full potential alone, which is one of the reasons I have not finished it myself. I have not passed it along because that would relinquish whatever creative input that I hold.

Ideally, I would rather continue this story with Mike. If not, then I would be open to finding another co-author to finish this story, and perhaps put it to rest.
